WP - Tackling Daily Email Spam from Various Senders and Unusual Addresses (Spambot Issue)

Hey.

Every day, a lot (about 20) of spam messages with different but similar content come to my mailbox. Each e-mail is from another but also a similar sender, eg Krystyna Nowak, Krzysztof Kaminski, Mariusz Szymanski, Anna Szymanski, Marek Kowalski, Zbigniew Wojcik, Aleksandra Wozniak etc. Names and names are repeated. What's the worst, every e-mail is always sent from a different and strange e-mail address, eg jan_wojcik(_at_)funky-lama.com, ahmed.abu_abed(_at_)najah.edu, zbigniew_wojcik(_at_)blog.miracle10.com, sungho(_at_)dwcom.co.kr . With no message there is no information about the possibility of stopping the subscription of the advertisement. In addition, spam comes to my private email, which I do not provide in random websites, all the more in online ads.





Please help. I think my mail was somehow attacked by spambot.

The good news is that you can add such addresses (domains) to the blacklist (the button in the top bar "Add to part of the list"). I suggest using the "Add domain" option, which blocks a certain pool of addresses, not just one, single. The bad news unfortunately refers to the restriction of such a list. Only 100 of these addresses can be added to WP. You can edit the list at any time by going to Options Security WPAntySpam.

Adds such messages to the blacklist, but each message is sent from a completely different e-mail address .....

I have the same problem. Only that in my case such messages are directed to the "SPAM" folder with the same prefix. Then it's easier to delete the entire contents of the folder. Unfortunately, as yet, I have not found another method like patient manual removal.

Gmail will sort 99% of messages, all spam will be discarded and only what is directed to you will remain.

You enter the settings while on gmail (icon on the right). You add wp to the built-in pop3 mail client in gmail. In this way, being on gmail you will be able to send and receive mail from wp But before you see what you got, gmail will sort your messages and delete all spam.
