Hello. My drive died, I bought a new one, installed win 7 home premium x64 with recovery, but it was a surprise because from the microsoft website you can no longer install mail live. I have found several versions but none want to be installed usually at the end of the package installation message pops up saying no internet connection. Can you still install live mail?

Due to the termination of support, Microsoft withdrew from its servers the ability to install the package. Those lucky people who have the Offline package can of course reinstall it. However, I would personally encourage you to install the alternative Mozilla Thunderbird https://www.mozilla.org/pl/thunderbird/

Thunderbird is pretty cool but I have a lot of email accounts and in live mail I could see messages from all accounts together or if needed only from a specific account and this is not in Thunderbird. Here you can only enter messages in the catalog from a specific account. Unless there is such a possibility?

It is, but every time I install it, I look for half a day how to turn it on, because in the current version it is done in a completely different place than most descriptions (even official) give. Turn on the menu bar (or press the left Alt if necessary), go to the View -> Folders -> Grouped menu. This new menu (three lines on the right) cannot be done.

Live can be installed. However, you need to search the web - not on Microsoft websites - the offline version * of the installer (about 134 MB). The file containing it is called wlsetup-all.exe and can be found without much effort (at least for now).

    * According to the description, Mr. rpk used the online version.

Thanks a lot for the tip :) There must actually be a 134mb file. Until now, I downloaded various 137 215, etc. and there was a lime tree and 134mb on it should be.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the challenges of installing Windows Live Mail on Windows 7 Home Premium x64 after Microsoft has withdrawn support for the application. Users are unable to find a working online installer, with many encountering issues related to internet connectivity during installation. Alternatives like Mozilla Thunderbird are suggested, but users express concerns about its functionality, particularly regarding the management of multiple email accounts. A solution is provided to locate an offline installer (wlsetup-all.exe) of Windows Live Mail, which is approximately 134 MB in size, as a workaround for the installation issue.
