Recover Old Messenger Account: Steps to Access Contacts & Conversations (No Facebook)

I had an account on Messenger (no facebook). I have recently set up an e-lesson account for a child on FB so that I can see and hear the teacher via Messenger. New FB and new Messenger account. How to log into the old Messenger now? There were contacts, conversations etc things. Now I only have a tutor in "friends" and nothing else. The "switch account" feature does not change anything. I have an old and a new account to choose from, but after selecting any one and going through the login (each account has a different password and the same phone number), only the new one opens. I am asking for help, because I don't know what to do anymore ...

As I understood correctly, you have two FB accounts, try logging in to your old FB account and then to Messenger.

The first Messenger worked without creating an FB account. Now I had to set up an FB account to "like" the teacher there to be able to join the online lessons. And from then on, I only have this new account. My various attempts to "do something with it" led to some sort of time block on Messenger. Now I have to wait, I cannot log into this new account. From what I was able to read on the net, I can try to recover this old account by using the "forgot password" option. I don't know why so, but I hope it will change something.
