Choosing a Side-by-Side Refrigerator: Comparing Beko, Samsung, LG, Gorenje, Hotpoint, Hisense

Best answers

Which side-by-side refrigerator should I choose around PLN 4,000, especially if I want an ice maker and want to compare brands like Beko, Samsung, LG, Gorenje, Hotpoint, and Hisense?

The thread does not point to one clear winner, but Samsung and Hisense got the clearest recommendations, and buyers also advised checking dimensions and filter costs before buying [#18604751][#18607176][#18730718] Samsung RS68N8220B1 was reported as roomy and very quiet, bought for about PLN 3500, but it needs roughly 1.7 m of width to open the door fully [#18604751] Another Samsung, RS66 N8100 S9, was described as a good-quality, Polish-made side-by-side and was said to cost under PLN 3000 [#18607176] For Hisense, one user reported almost 5 years of trouble-free use on a side-by-side, later identifying the model as FMN432A20C_SSL, which would soon be 6 years old [#18730718] If you want an ice maker, pay attention to the price and availability of water-filter replacements; one user said filters mounted between the hoses should be easier to replace, while another preferred models with an internal filter [#18619220] Also check whether the doors and drawers can open at 90° and whether the fridge will fit through your 70 cm doorway [#18625551]

    Hello.
I am faced with the choice of a refrigerator, I dreamed of a refrigerator with an icemaker some time. I do not know what goodies the refrigerators are still full of, except for no frost or an alarm when it does not close.
I would like to spend an amount in the range of PLN 4,000.
I read reviews between Beko, Samsung and LG, recently found brands like Gorenje, Hotpoint, Hisense.

What about these companies and which model will you suggest?

I bought a novelty for this time, Samsung RS68N8220B1 series and I have been happy for over 5 months, roomy, very quiet, and in the promotion eurortvagd it was PLN 3500, but you know, anthracite is more expensive. You must remember to be 1.7m wide to fully open the door.

Welcome a lot of this on the market in my department, it is best to pay attention to the news from BEKO:
    GN162331ZXR
    MGN162331ZXB
You can usually buy both of them at a price in MediaExper
One ZXR - has a great coating new on the market brushed steel in dark inox looks great (but you have to judge the design yourself)
the latter ZXB is a bit cheaper, but the price difference is precisely the coating. Details are minor differences, e.g. the cheaper model has a nice drawer for vegetables and fruits better drains moisture (Everfresh +) if you have any questions, write to me, I will help

    greetings

I was looking for a parent refrigerator recently - it was supposed to be side-by-side, without an icemaker. It stood on the SAMSUNG RS66 N8100 S9. Less than PLN 3,000 for side-by-side is quite a bargain. The refrigerator is of Polish production. Good workmanship. So far, the purchase is a plus.

I am also bothered by the lack of a removable water filter directly from the refrigerator housing, as in much more expensive Samsung, but it is mounted between the hoses.

For the filter mounted between the hoses, replacements should be more easily available. Several of my friends have warned me about expensive filters in refrigerators. So when buying a refrigerator with an ice cube maker, I would be guided by the price of filters and replacements.

A replacement for me means a filter from the same manufacturer that produces for a given brand of household appliances, not that it is unknown what stuffed into the cartridge by the Chinese. In the case of Samsung, the supplier is Microfilter Korea, who also takes Seltino and I do not know who else.

This digging and unscrewing consists in taking out 2 pins and removing the wires from the filter.

Somehow I do not like the filter on the hoses, I cannot imagine moving the fridge away every 6 months or rummaging under the sink to unscrew it, and when it is open it will flood my apartment. I see that it is for PLN 4600 Samsung RS51K57H02C which has a twisted filter, a replacement for about PLN 64.

Definitely, it's better to have a filter inside a given model - it's no secret that models with a filter behind the device are dying out or have very good prices and are in extra promotions. Pay attention to new systems that take care of food, health - ionization, etc. If you write something, I will help

It is also worth paying attention to how the doors are opened and whether the drawers can be pulled out when the door is open at an angle of 90 * because not everyone has a place to open them wider. Well, for me, an important element is the 70 cm frame, not every large refrigerator will pass through it, unless it is possible to remove the door.

A buyer chose the RS66 N8100 S9 under PLN 3,000 and reported good workmanship. It’s Polish production and considered a bargain. Early impressions are positive. If your budget is tight, it’s a solid value anchor to compare against other deals. [Elektroda, skansen, post #18607176]

How does Samsung RS68N8220B1 perform in real use?

An owner ran it 5+ months and was happy. They called it roomy and very quiet, bought during a PLN 3,500 promo. Plan for 1.7 m width to fully open doors. "You must remember to be 1.7m wide to fully open the door." [Elektroda, Sebastian_M26, post #18604751]

Is LG GSJ361DIDV competitively priced right now?

How reliable is Hisense side‑by‑side over time?

A Hisense FMN432A20C_SSL owner reported nearly six years of trouble‑free use. That’s a strong real‑world data point for reliability. If you prefer matte finishes and value, Hisense is worth shortlisting. [Elektroda, guzior3, post #19599547]

Any early failures reported for LG side‑by‑side?

One user reported their LG side‑by‑side failed after three years. Treat this as an edge case, but factor warranty and service access into your decision. Consider extended coverage if choosing similar models. [Elektroda, Akselerator1, post #19599047]

Are hose‑mounted water filters cheaper or easier to source?

A user notes inline filters mounted between hoses often have easier‑to‑find replacements. Friends warned them about expensive proprietary filters. If you buy an icemaker fridge, check filter prices and alternative availability before purchase. [Elektroda, skansen, post #18619220]

Is an internal twist filter more convenient than an inline hose filter?

Yes. A brand representative recommends models with an in‑housing filter. They add that rear, hose‑based filters are fading out and that newer systems focus on food care features. Convenience improves with in‑door access. [Elektroda, ambasador BEKO, post #18624431]

How do I replace an inline hose water filter without mess?

Most inline swaps are quick: pull two locking pins and disconnect the two lines, then swap the cartridge. Keep a towel handy and close the water valve first. 1. Shut water. 2. Pull two clips and disconnect lines. 3. Install new filter, reopen water. [Elektroda, Sebastian_M26, post #18624236]

A shopper highlighted RS51K57H02C at about PLN 4,600. They noted it uses an internal twist filter, with replacements around PLN 64. This combo adds convenience and low running costs for icemaker users. [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #18620609]

What clearance do I need to fully open side‑by‑side doors?

Plan for about 1.7 m total width to swing both doors open fully. That space prevents hinge or shelf interference. "You must remember to be 1.7m wide to fully open the door." Measure twice before buying to avoid delivery surprises. [Elektroda, Sebastian_M26, post #18604751]

Can I pull out drawers with the doors at 90°?

Not always. Some models require a wider door angle to clear crisper and freezer drawers. Verify in‑store or check spec diagrams. If your kitchen restricts swing, prioritize designs that allow full drawer travel at 90°. [Elektroda, Arkadius85, post #18625551]

Will a 70 cm apartment door frame be an issue?

It can. Not every large side‑by‑side passes through a 70 cm frame. Check the path and ask if the doors can be removed for delivery. Door removal often solves tight entries. [Elektroda, Arkadius85, post #18625551]

Which BEKO side‑by‑side models were suggested, and what’s different?

A brand rep pointed to GN162331ZXR and MGN162331ZXB. ZXR features dark inox brushed steel. ZXB is cheaper; the main difference is coating. They also mention a produce drawer with EverFresh+ moisture control on the cheaper model. [Elektroda, ambasador BEKO, post #18605538]

Who supplies Samsung water filters, and are brand‑compatible replacements available?

A user states Samsung’s filter supplier is Microfilter Korea. They add that Seltino also sources from Microfilter. If you want replacements, look for supplier‑made cartridges to maintain quality. [Elektroda, Sebastian_M26, post #18619416]

What should I know about the Hisense RS694N4TF2 water filter design?

A shopper noted the RS694N4TF2 lacks a removable in‑housing filter. Its filter sits between hoses instead. If you prefer twist‑in convenience, confirm filter location before purchase. [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #18618561]

How often should I replace a fridge water filter?

Plan for about every six months. One buyer referenced a six‑month interval when considering filter access and maintenance. If your water has sediment, monitor flow and taste for earlier changes. [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #18620609]
