I try to type quite quickly on the keyboard without missing some letters. Ie. when I type quickly in the text, often instead of s there is s, and instead of ? there is n despite pressing Alt ..
Can you change the sensitivity of the keyboard in the settings? I am asking for other suggestions too.

if it's a wired keyboard rather than a wireless keyboard, there's probably no way it's being typed wrong: you just aren't pressing the Alt key enough to make it work. There is no such thing as 'touch sensitivity': the keyboard works as zeros: either the key is pressed or not.

I acknowledge, albeit unsatisfied. Wired keyboard.

Normal keyboard, probably one hundred years old, by Chicony.

In fact, it is probably not a question of pressure, but of simultaneously pressing Alt + letter. A man in his old age would like to write faster because he is nervous, and here the keys do not keep up.

Then maybe it's time to replace it - these are not some great costs, and a good keyboard is worth having to save some nerves?
    PS.
    I also have a Chicony - a 7-year-old old lady, but still "breathy" :D

last year I threw the chicona keyboard (on din5) from 1994, probably. It worked flawlessly, there were no unnecessary buttons. The only drawback is the completely worn overprints on the keys. Thrown out because it threatened the sense of aesthetics of the Honorable Wife ;)

Finding a good keyboard with the right layout (big enter, backspace, slashes in the right places, normal home / pgup / pgdn layout etc) is a big problem. Honestly speaking, so far I do not have one that would suit me as much as that antique. Maybe colleagues have any suggestions?

    Hello.
My first question that came to my mind is what is a classic keyboard layout or is it a typewriter? After all, this is just a classic. :!:
I myself had a few different keyboards, for example the Chicony, Microsoft Natural Keyboard (broken), Dexx. And to this day I use the old Media Tech 128 and I do not complain. It is just a matter of habit.

And as for fast typing, I would pay attention to the key stroke and their softness, the less pressing the key and the less force the easier it is for someone who does not deal with a "shovel" on a daily basis. Therefore, I would recommend the so-called keyboards. low-profile with just a small stroke (as in laptops), quiet and "nice to the touch". Another issue is the dirt on the contacts under the keys (mainly the unfortunate ALT) - maybe a thorough cleaning inside the keyboard will help. :D

for me the classic keyboard layout is this:

bypassing the left Macro key. Unfortunately, I can't find the keyboard I used to have.

I don't understand why they departed from this arrangement. It would be easy to even fit those unfortunate windows keys in such a configuration (macro throw out, move ctrl and alt to the left and there is room for windows. Shorten the right shift a little and move the backslash under it, ctrl and alt to the right) on the popup menu key).

Under no circumstances should you change the layout of the arrow keys and the home / end / del block .. unfortunately I have such a changed keyboard in the robot and I am very tired.

In terms of aesthetics, my Chicony KB - 9810 keyboard leaves a lot to be desired.
Maybe before Christmas I would try to wash it and clean the contacts, but I have never done it and I am asking for some tips on how to effectively do it and what to pay attention to when undressing?
Although the new one costs PLN 17. it was, however, that I became attached to the old woman. The layout of the keys is online, so what to wipe these contacts with? Is a damp handkerchief enough?

I only have a doubt that improving the aesthetics of the keyboard will eliminate my typing problems. I don't remember how this keyboard behaved 10 years ago.

I dismantled the keyboard, the keys are already soaking, and what about rubber and foil, what to clean them, or bathe the rubber?
