    Hello, I come with a rather interesting and unusual problem, at the very beginning I will say right away that I have been struggling with it for some time (I usually google all my problems, but now my paws are just dropping).

    My problem is that it is very difficult to run games on the second monitor. I have two LG monitors, one 20.1 "native resolution 1680x1050 and the other 19" native resolution 1440x900. My goal is to run games on the second monitor, leaving the first monitor intact (you can see the desktop, nothing changes on it). The point is that when you start the game, it immediately starts on the second monitor. My graphics card is Gigabyte Nvidia GTX 460 and the operating system is Windows 7 Ultimate x64. So far, I've done it so that I changed the main screen to this 19 inch, which in the long run is terribly annoying. Both screens are connected all the time to the two DVI outputs on the card.

    What do I need it for? I use my computer as a work center and as a console all in one. One monitor with a keyboard and a mouse stands in one corner of the room, and the second monitor, pulled by cables with a pad from Play Station 3, lies in the other corner. My goal is to make such a configuration to simply turn on the second monitor and run the game on it. And not how to switch between the main monitors so far, which by the way destroys all windows and icons, besides, during the game I cannot look at the desktop.

    I am happy for every suggestion, maybe not even specific help, but also a suggestion on how to solve what I would like to do.

    @edition
    One consolation, I managed to set the Fallout: New Vegas options to run on the second monitor. Unfortunately, borderlands, dirt2, metro2033 blah blah blah and a lot of other games do not have the option to set their default display.

    The problem of a colleague on that topic concerns radeon cards, I read the topic from cover to cover, but he wants to get something else, he wants to have a full-screen application on one monitor and a desktop and browser on the other and work on both at the same time. I just want the applications to run on the second monitor and for me to go to the couch and play and let this desktop continue to shine on the first monitor. I will try this application in the subject, providing the link itself, unfortunately I do not fully understand what you want to convey to me, if you could write a little more, although by two sentences maybe I will understand :)

    Alternatively, another question, how to set the monitors in windows 7 to work as two independent?

    it doesn't matter what card

    do you want to view the desktop? and do something on the other PC, or just look at the picture?

    no additional software, try with the extended desktop, I will not advise you because I do not currently have the game installed and the question of how each game will behave

    Using the given program (paid after 60 days), the matter is largely resolved.

    Once you've set up both monitors and the correct resolutions then ..

    "Window settings" tab> individual settings> add a new rule
    in the tab in the new rule (strict setting)> window selection tab, select the game> start tab> "Move to monitor" action and select the "selected" monitor status (1 or 2 what settings you have)
    you click on the floppy disk to save the changes and start the game, it should then run on the second monitor

    No chance, it doesn't work, I chose the application, even tried to select monitor2 in the location tab. Everything that is "in the window" works, but full-screen applications cannot. Any ideas yet? Is it appropriate to say thank you and the topic cannot be solved?
