As in the subject, a display from a Midtronic tester, hardly relevant which one because several types of them have the same 2x 16 characters. I have not found anything interesting in googles.
.
The LCD in the picture has 14 lines, the standard HD44780 has 16, but the last two are LED from the backlight.... try to work out which lines are ground and power and what voltages appear on the data lines.
Generally you are looking for a 2x16 CoG (Chip on Glass) LCD with a 14 pin FFC/FPC (Flexible Flat Cable/Flexible Printed Circuit) connector. They come in 5V and 3.3V versions.
The NT7603 and HD44780 are "more or less" compatible with each other, but in general the HD44780U will work in place of the NT7603, the other way around not necessarily.
P.S..
Not Midtronic, but Midtronics MDX-P300.... and you are not the only one looking for this display.
To be honest, I've let the subject go - the esteemed investor got the device free of charge, from the battery distributor, and is now trying to get them to give him a second one. Polish distributor repairs it - for replacement of LCD they charge 500zł....
