Hello all . An intrusive charging assistant appeared on my kitkat 4.4.4 android phone. I was given it by one of the applications after the update. It reappears after switching off. I read that it can be Clean Master or CM security but I don't have these applications. Do any of your colleagues know which application is so generous?

Give a screenshot of this assistant, because nobody will tell you what exactly it is. Such add-ons usually have system acceleration programs.

I did not install the afterburner. I have a Super User, but updates have been blocked for over a year. ES explorator has another assistant and is turned off. Launcher is not installed. I have done root but it's been over a year and it wasn't before.

I did not install any new ones before the appearance of this gift. I also have a busybox but also for a long time and there is nothing there. How to track it and remove it? In the settings it has only one "disabled" function but on the second day after connecting the charger it is back.

Too much work removing and reinstalling. If it's one of the system applications, the whole work would be wasted anyway. There is no other way ? Such forced gifts are annoying.

It's hard to say anything since you don't know what applications you have installed and the booster screen itself looks like many other similar ones.

Apart from the previously mentioned ones, I only have a lucky patcher, auto map, adguard, flashlight, Adobe, work schedule. The rest removed

Out of curiosity, I installed adguard + yandex browser, and a moment ago I had an oplet with a weather forecast and in the upper right year there was a charging lock screen option. Unfortunately, I did not have time to investigate it deeper because the application closed. I do not know if it is related to each other, but I will pay attention to it.

adguard adds crap; get yourself adawaya and add filters from the authors site - he's system-wide.

I tested ADAWAY some time ago, ADGUARD fares better and this charging assistant does not come from it.

I had this weather applet again and again I couldn't see more of it, interestingly it looks like it doesn't show up until late at night. The only thing I can suggest now is go to the application settings and clear the data from adgard.

As I mentioned before I have ADGUARD for a long time and this assistant is not from him.

Topic summary

An intrusive charging assistant has appeared on a KitKat 4.4.4 Android phone, reportedly following an app update. The user suspects it may be linked to system acceleration programs, similar to Clean Master, but does not have that app installed. Various responses suggest checking installed applications, as the assistant resembles features from optimization tools. The user has a limited set of applications, including Lucky Patcher, AdGuard, and others, but has ruled out recent installations as the cause. Suggestions include removing updates from apps one by one to identify the culprit, although the user expresses frustration at the potential effort involved. The discussion also touches on the possibility of the assistant being related to other apps like weather widgets or ad blockers.
