Hello, I bought the 2013 Astra Sport Tourer (combi), 1.7 CDTI. I have no indication of the outside temperature in the display, only the lines (---). I replaced the sensor (new) - the same, the voltage on the plug about 5V. Astra is on CAN ... so I don't think much about the display because there are only a few cables (probably 4 or 5). I have no idea what to get ... Someone will advise ....? ..... Maybe someone has a scheme, you can also be insignia (maybe similar ...?)

Thank you in advance .... Paweł

You need to do diagnostics and view the actual temperature there. If I'm going to be ok then you have to look elsewhere as it will be -40 is a bunch to check. The sensor can be simulated just in case.

This year the opcom can't cope with something else to be diagnosed. You can only simulate if you have a preview of the actual values.

I wrote the sensor and the beam to check before.

Problem solved ... the malfunction was the wrongly programmed display. I connected Op-Com, and in the tab> Body> Instrument cluster-position OUTSIDE TENPERATURE was not present, - I presented it to present ... it works ...! So thank you all and the topic is closed ...

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a 2013 Opel Astra Sport Tourer (1.7 CDTI) experiencing an issue with the outside temperature sensor, which displays only dashes (---) instead of the actual temperature. The user replaced the sensor but continued to face the same problem, suspecting a fault in the display or wiring. Various suggestions were made, including performing diagnostics, simulating the sensor with a resistor, and checking the wiring. Ultimately, the issue was resolved by reprogramming the instrument cluster display using the Op-Com diagnostic tool, which had not previously recognized the outside temperature function.
