Android is Linux on which the Java Virtual Machine was placed together with the Google environment.
    Pure Linux should be faster.

Boxes based on the Amlogic S805 CPU, or newer, work quite well.
Linux would of course be a faster system, but Android fits better with the idea of TVBox.
Better customized UI and more practical applications for this solution.

Ew, if only for streaming, even old phones with HDMI / MHL output are suitable.
The ancient Xperia Neo V worked in this way for a relatively long time ;)
    Youtube was OK.

Beware of boxes with only 1GB of RAM, it is not enough for comfortable play.

I will ask some more. Can you view the channel list in these tv boxes like in the E2 nbox?

    These are not TV tuners.
It is simply an extension that functions as an advanced SmartTV.
All content is downloaded from the web. And how it works depends on what multimedia software you install.
For example, KODI has functions that allow you to view the channel list in the sub-structure. But you have to set it up yourself, because it is not usually configured for Poland.
Some Netflix, YT will. But you have to dig out TVN or TVP online yourself.

Topic summary

The discussion centers on the choice between Android and Linux-based TV boxes for streaming and future applications. It is noted that while Android is built on Linux and offers a more user-friendly interface with better application support, pure Linux systems may provide faster performance. Recommendations include Amlogic S805 and newer CPUs for optimal performance. Users are cautioned against selecting boxes with only 1GB of RAM, as this may hinder performance. The conversation also touches on the functionality of these boxes, clarifying that they are not TV tuners but rather advanced SmartTV extensions that require specific multimedia software, like KODI, for channel list viewing.
