Hi, I have a problem turning off hints in google chrome on windows. A few days ago I switched to chrome and I'm very annoyed with hints in the address bar, he writes something and tells me the pages I was on before :( It would still be ok if you had to click on these hints or something and here for the browser is more important what prompts than what I type. Example from yesterday I first entered the upc forum, after a few hours I wanted to log in to my upc so I entered upc in the address bar and clicked enter ... instead of google upc search I landed on the upc forum (for those who do not know what it is different pages).

-I'm not logged in to chrome
    - "Use hints to complete queries and URLs entered in the address bar" I have disabled
I still see these stupid hints :(

Anyone know how can I turn it off completely? And I don't mean to delete single hints or delete history once, because I just want to disable the hints permanently.

    Please help

By. it doesn't work for me just because you are not logged in.
Log in and disable the above options.
    Go on:
    https://www.google.com/preferences?hl=pl
    and disable "Private results".
    It works?
Tooltips are closely related to your search history, so if you have it turned off, you can't get suggestions.
In addition, you can delete incorrect hints permanently by moving the cursor to the incorrect hint and clicking SHIFT + Del.

I really have to change my browser again, because without logging in you can't turn off the hint? Ehhh, what a google bastard releases. I even installed the extension because turning off history but then even the undo button doesn't work: / I wonder why only firefox as the only popular browser offers turning off history and other unnecessary things.

I wrote you where to look. After 20 seconds you find out that "you can't", but Google's coders sat on it a little longer ...
Many things can't be done in Firefox ...
    EDIT:
Well, some eggs with turning history off in Chrome.
I don't know how you want to use the Internet there, but maybe Incognito mode will suit you?

Without logging in, you can't turn off private results, and you don't want to log in, somehow I've always been using Google without being logged in -> logging in only when it's necessary and that's all :|

I understand that some people like to sync and have everything on all devices, but I don't need it. If I want to go to some website, I have bookmarks, etc., not that I delete a hint every now or again, otherwise I will get to the hint page. I used vivaldi before and I could turn it off without any problems. Well, but vivaldi has other problems and the movies don't work properly for me, even the image shakes, the frames jump, etc. Theoretically, the best firefox, but the pages display differently on it, another engine does its job: / I used it for a long time also opera, but recently from updates to updates, more and more bugs are quite serious, e.g. in the place where the "padlock" should be info about the certificate etc. the google icon was displayed and it was impossible to check the website's certificate or anything

You have to find the balance yourself. I use FF and Chrome myself with and without login.
Interestingly, Chrome 32 on Linux and 42 on W7 has no problems.
There is currently little difference whether you are logged in or not. And so, everything you do can and can be tracked in a thousand other ways, e.g. through an ISP ... even a VPN will not help anything ...
I wonder how this SHIFT + Del works, does this hint disappear permanently and appears somewhere in the blocked ...?

You use shift + del to enter this page and it appears similarly.

Tracking it by the way, someone collects our data at every step, but for now I only meant to turn off the stupid hints, or at least let you click on the hint :(

And what I wrote about turning off history is just to get rid of hints - it worked, but as I said, then the back button does not work, which is unacceptable. On FF, if you turn off the stories, there is no hint, but BACK BUTTON WORKS.

As already about browsers, there is also a lack of a decent start page in chrome mega (for comparison, vivaldi and opera easily enable it) here it's so average, only a bar at the top with tabs and a few tabs under the search engine over which we don't even have control because ss is the last opened pages only.

Strange that there is a switch to turn off these hints but it does not give anything

It's about a specific URL, not "similar".

    If not charm ...
In terms of the start page, there is definitely a choice from a thousand extras ...

Ehh I wanted to write that he appears again in the hint. I got in a little typo.
Yes to the start page is a lot of extensions, but other browsers have no problem immediately and here like the most popular browser and such deficiencies :| I know maybe not everyone uses it, but not everyone uses synchronization and here it is proposed at every step
