    Hello. I have a problem, so twice on October 19 and once on November 11 I received a text message from Facebook with the password reset code, while I did not make any similar attempt. Piss.
    Extortion attempt. Sending an email supposedly from your own address is easy. Providing the address for password reset is supposed to make it credible.
    The guy just has your address. Maybe you gave it somewhere.
    You can change your password just in case. If it is a google account, the more pic on the water, because google detects non-standard logins.
    The old trick is that he supposedly has access to a camera and has made some compromising videos.
    I got one too, but I don't have any camera. I was scared by sending these compromising films to my friends or by causing my computer to fire.

    How can this be prevented?
    I also find it unlikely, not to mention a more detailed description which doesn't make much sense

    Is there any explanation for facebook text messages?

    @Edit
    I do not mean the credibility of everything through text messages from Facebook, it only overlaps a bit in time, so I look for dependencies and ask if they can also indicate any danger

    Of course. Go to Facebook, log out. Then go to "forgot password" and enter your e-mail address. You will get an SMS with the password reset. All you need to know is your email address.

    I understand that the matter is trivial, someone just knows my e-mail and tapped it?
