    Hello guys,

    I have a JVC LED TV LT-55VU73K.
When I bring power it displays the JVC logo and goes blank.
If I press the power button it turns on backlight, without anything on the screen and is stuck that way.
As I can measure, all voltages are ok, and the backlight is working.

I would like to try and update the mainboard firmware so I am looking for the proper bin file:
    Vestel mainboard 17MB130P,
    Panel VES550QNDS-2D-U13,
    25L1606E flash

If you have anything to suggest for me to try, I will gladly do.

Many thanks in advance for your answers.

    Kind regards,
    Dinko

Given the symptoms you've described with your JVC LED TV LT-55VU73K, it seems that you have already done some initial diagnosis. If you've checked the power, voltages, and the backlight, and they all seem to be functioning as expected, updating the mainboard firmware may indeed be a potential next step to resolve the issue. However, updating firmware can be a delicate process, and you'll need to ensure that the firmware file is correct and compatible with your specific TV model and mainboard.

Here are some steps to consider:

Contact the Manufacturer or Authorized Service Center: Reach out to JVC or an authorized service center for advice. They may be able to provide guidance, including whether a firmware update is suitable for resolving the issue and where to obtain the correct firmware file.

Independent Repair Service: You might also consider reaching out to an independent TV repair service with experience in JVC models. Technicians at such facilities may have the necessary expertise to guide you through the process or perform the update themselves.

Detailed Research: Carefully research the correct firmware for your specific TV model and mainboard. Be cautious about sourcing firmware files from unofficial websites, as using an incorrect or incompatible firmware file can potentially render your TV inoperative. Always ensure that you have the correct firmware for your exact model and version.

Firmware Update Process: If you are certain you have the correct firmware file, follow the specific instructions provided by the manufacturer to carry out the firmware update. This usually involves loading the firmware onto a USB drive and then initiating the update via the TV's menu system.

Given the complexity and potential risks involved with firmware updates, I would advise proceeding with caution. In cases like these, professional assistance from a technician experienced with TV firmware updates and troubleshooting could be the safest course of action. If the TV is under warranty, contacting the manufacturer for guidance and potential service options would be advisable as well.

Always ensure that you follow the manufacturer's guidelines exactly when attempting any repair or update process, as mishandling firmware updates can potentially cause irreversible damage to your TV. For more electronic products, please visit inkson
