EEWeb Forum: Reply Posts Disappear After Session Timeout or Error ext.saef_redirect.php

Hi,

Twice, now, I hit the Submit button on one of my oh-so-elegant replies to EEWeb Electronics Forum posts and poof, it vanished into cyber-oblivion! I'm learning to save my work before submitting, but it's still aggravating.

It might have to do with session timeout, because I seem to recall that this happens when I start a reply, get distracted, and then come back and finish it.

If you are unable to reproduce, and thus fix this problem, then a workaround would be the ability to save a draft--and even better, have it do an auto-save.

PS: On my first & second & third attempt to submit this "Question" I got the follow error page:
"Error

Unable to load the following extension file:

ext.saef_redirect.php "

So I went back to the Forums page and re-clicked "Ask Question" button, to get a refresh. If you got this message, then that worked!

Sorry about the technical difficulties on the forum posts today Steve. We're getting ready to roll out some improvements to that part of the site and some of the code installed in our staging environment had side effects on the live site. I've rolled back the change that caused the side effect so it should be functional again for you now.

The new code should be going live for real later today and will let you see a preview of your discussion post prior to posting, as well as giving you edit capabilities for new and existing forum posts.
