Beginner EE projects?

Hey All,

I'm new here, so I apologize if this question is redundant or not in the right place.

I am still in school, so far the EE courses I've taken are circuits analysis and digital logic.

I am really bored at home with all this extra time, and I want to work on something where I can apply/review the stuff I've learned in those two classes.

Building this kit will allow you learn some vital skills. But don't just put it together, look up the data sheets and try to understand what each part does.

I would go to the Linear Technology web site and down load a free copy of LTspice and the users manual. It is a great free tool to try a lot of things and is used by EEs every day. You can do logic and analog and there is a vast assortment of part models. You won't have to build a thing but you can really learn how circuits work.

I've checked out LT.com before. I will DL the users manual and try to understand the logic that they have.

If anyone has any good projects in mind specifically on Amazon, or something, please let me know.

My first project when I was in Highschool was a multi-meter. I then built a power supply and a function generator. Building your own test equipment is a good way to learn.

Google these kits, you will find several.
