I have a transducer that creates a 1GHZ step pulse, however there is some ringing on the trailing edge after transmission down a length of 50R Coax, running through the transducer there is a length of 10cm 19 gauge wire, the end of the coax is terminated in 50R, but the transducer output impedance is unknown.
Do you think the ringing is due to the 10cm of wire and or the msimatch between the output impedance of the transducer
