Hi all.
Getting back to my CAN BUS issues. I am guessing that my problem is that I don't know
the message ID for RPM. There fore I cant set up my filters / masks properly.
0x0C is the PID for rpm and I thought this is the message ID and I have been using this value. With a lot of internet searching I came across 0x00000201 as a CAN message ID for RPM. Now I am confused. Where does the 0x0C fit in? I haven't tried the 0x00000201 yet
as it got late. I will try ASAP. I know this could still be wrong as I don't know if this is interchangeable between vehicles. Any way my question is: Where do I use the 0x0C
PID for RPM if? Is this used as the Message ID as I thought until I came across 0x00000201?
I am also thinking I might be at a dead end if the CAN Message ID's are secret from the
auto manufactures. I guess I could scope the BUS but I would not know which is the one I want as I believe the BUS is full of activity. Major trial / error.
Thanks,
Dennis
