Remote Temperature Monitoring

Am ssemakula frank,a second year student doing telecommunications engineering at Makerere university in Uganda.
I would like to do a project on remote temperature monitoring where am monitoring temperatures for four different rooms located at different places in the field.
This central monitoring location will help engineers from moving up and down from one room to the other since it will be monitored at a central place.
I do believe that with your guidance my dream will come true.

I have many years experience in Network Systems and Software development and management in the Telecommunications industry (specialised in Network Management Systems). I am currently semi-retired and do a lot of Home Automation and Micro-controller development, with opensource software and hardware platforms, that involve a lot of device monitoring and control,

Currently am doing a degree in telecommunications engineering at Makerere University,I have just completed my second year just going into third year in this August.
As a young engineer i would really want to create an impact in my country Uganda.
I do believe that you can also guide me on the field i can major in at my masters level because am just remaining with two years to finish this degree and then focus on my masters.
