I was working on a circuit board that would lose power when jarred. I traced the problem to an inductor that had a broken lead. I managed to solder the bit of reamining lead to a piece of paper clip and get the unit running. It is a control board for an autommatic cutoff saw, so it is subject to constant vibration while running. I have not been able to determine the value of the inductor. It is a black cylinder 0.478" (12.15mm) in diameter X 0.780" (19.82mm) tall. It has AN 400 marked on the top, but that is the only markings. I contacted the tech support department of the US branch for the manufacturer, but they do not have any details beyond the circuit board part number. I would greatly appreciate any help that anyone can offer.
