Small (not start up) Electric motor company based in southern california. We have been in business for over 10 years in the business of very specialized application specific electric motors. We are very interested in designing our motor controller in house, its just been a struggle to find a worthy individual. Any advice would be great.

Hi Randy-It's surprising that you're having difficulty finding a qualified Engineer. What kind of motors are we talking about here? Multi-horsepower 3-phase motors that require a variable speed drive? Small brushed motors that require a PWM drive? Something else entirely?I'll bet we've got some readers with just the qualifications you need!-Rick

Hi Rick, Yes we make small brushless motors that uses hall effect sensors to improve efficiency & power modulation at low speeds. Yes PWM drive. I think we are having trouble more so due to the fact that we dont really know where to look for good freelance electronics engineer. Although we are sucessful at design/engineering our own electric motors, none of us have engineering degree.
