Good afternoon to everyone. I am researching about electrical protections in the industry and I was wondering if anyone knows any program to simulate the defects that affect electrical systems. Thanks in advance

Hi Jorge-Off the top of my head I don't know of any. Are you looking to simulate faults in an electric utility power distribution system, an industrial environment, or something else?Give me a little more to go on and I'll see what I can find.-Rick

Hi Jorge,I know that you can get three-phase test sets that can play back files to simulate faults. These are use to test equipment that is being put into service. I also know some power engineers who have used MATLAB to simulate faults and develop algorithms to deal with them.
