Hi!
I am a beginner to electronic components and I am new to a lot of this knowledge. When I read about capacitors, I don't quite understand what types there are and how they are categorized.
What are the advantages of ceramic capacitors over other capacitors made of different materials?
I'm hoping to get some help from you guys. Thanks!

Capacitors are a bit bewildering at first. But there are a lot of resources to help you. For different applications you need different features, for example for tuned circuits you need precision and stability (so ceramic), for power supply use you need high cap/size ratio and low ESR (so electrolytic), etc. Here are some resources to help you:
