As the topic ; ) I have a password-protected zip file - can I get to it somehow without knowing the password? Maybe you can suspect the password in some program?

It is impossible, the only possibility is a method of force, which will probably take you more than you will live ;-)
Well, unless the password has 4-5 letters without special characters and numbers, then you can play.
It is best to use the search on the electrode because this topic has already been touched several times.

Here you have posts about rar but it's the same thing:
    https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic231816.html
    https://www.elektroda.pl/rtvforum/topic228305.html

And as for the password cracking program, look here:
    http://www.google.pl/search?hl=pl&q=zip+password+recovery&spell=1
But probably most of them are paid, and I don't know any myself because I don't have one
needed to use such programs :P

    Hello.
I used to have a problem ;) , I was looking for a suitable software for a long time that could be "legalized" ;) . I present a useful applet below, and a "special sequence of characters" (censorship does not sleep ;) ), which greatly expands its possibilities, I can send it to you.

Then try to break a 10-character password containing special characters, numbers, and upper and lower case letters using the brute force method ...
It's a pity you didn't even read what I wrote in the previous post, but it's normal in this forum.

What??? Buhahahahahaha zips are broken with the right programs, no matter the length of the letters or numbers in the password! With this program you can break whatever you want (every zip) RAR Password (illegal add-on) 4.00 Beta 1

My friend Lucki I suggest you read more before you start criticizing (unfairly) other forum users (especially about the rank of a colleague kolobos'a ;) ).

A quote from the program you gave:
    Quote:
At the moment there is no known method to extract the password from the compressed file; so, the only available method is simply a "brute-force" attack.

    Greetings.

You do not need a program for this password, the description is practically with every mp3 file, you just need to be able to read the description in the text file.

In addition, this password should be in any dictionary of a "self-respecting" password cracker.

As he wrote Colobos you have to be very lucky (not to mention patience) to crack a password that you do not know anything about with programs.

Dizeki for everyone's help - I'm closing the topic - a simple application, it's better to remember the password:)

Topic summary

✨ The discussion revolves around methods to unlock a password-protected zip file without knowing the password. Users express skepticism about the feasibility of cracking strong passwords, particularly those with a combination of special characters, numbers, and mixed case letters. Some suggest using brute force methods or specific software tools like RAR Password Cracker and other password recovery programs, while others caution that these methods may be time-consuming and often ineffective for complex passwords. The conversation also touches on the possibility of finding passwords in text files or dictionaries used by password crackers. Ultimately, the consensus leans towards the importance of remembering passwords rather than relying on software solutions.
