    Hi :)
I need an extension cord - yes, with 50 m. I would like to charge the battery without removing it from the car - laziness :) I know that it would be appropriate to use a fairly strong cable, but I do not want to overdo it and buy it too expensive.
For example, is this: Link will not be too thin?
I would be very grateful for professional advice :)

It can be OMY 3x1.5 mm2. Enough to charge the battery power supply. This cross-section can be easily loaded up to 4kW. Just remember to fully develop it. There are extension cords on the drums.

I know, but it is probably cheaper to buy a cable and a plug separately. But you intrigued me - developed? Does it matter?

Buddy, wiping your ass with glass could end up seriously injured.
The layman's crowning argument is money and that there is voltage in the socket and the bulb shines.
    The rest doesn't matter.

Buy a ready-made and professionally made extension cord with a cross-section of at least 2.5 mm2 (greater resistance to mechanical damage) and live peacefully.
The socket to which it will be connected should (read: must) be protected with an RCD.
If not, it should be equipped with an "adapter" with built-in residual current device.
During use, the extension cord should (read: must) be fully uncoiled.

I see :) so, however, saving does not have to go hand in hand with safety? I thought in short - the plug in the socket, in the apartment - no moisture, the cable over the top, so as not to be stepped on - on the tree :) and the socket - in the car, also without moisture, but here in fact - security. So in this "professional" such security should be?
Such for example: Link it will be probably ok? The price is actually a few zlotys in my pocket, but I did not know that there should be fuses :) Thanks
By the way - what is this development about? The one on the spool also needs to be expanded then?

It may not be OK. It is also a 1.5 mm? wire. Manufacturers bend them evenly to make money.

    Even such they produce -

Well, the author of the topic pointed out that it is a Polish product. Compatriots do not cheat, only the Chinese, where they add various inventions to copper, such as zinc.
In total, I also choose a drum extension cord with 3x2.5mm2 conductors of good quality and a proven manufacturer, which can also be useful for purposes other than charging the batteries.

Exactly. I also looked at Allegro, but some of them do not even know what it is.
I wanted to buy from Wasserman, because for previous purchases I have a lot of points to exchange for next purchases, so I asked :)

Everything is good if the user knows what such an extension cord is suitable for and what can be powered with it, because if it is the mentioned vacuum cleaner, it will happen faster here than in the attached photos.

Buddy, you write that you will let go of the mountain not to walk on it and the trees, do not take into account the conditions / damage this cable will be exposed to ??

Maybe there is no need to get paranoid and let go downstairs, because what method will you mount it on trees?

It can be OMY 3x1.5 mm2. It is enough for the power supply to charge the battery.
Rather, it will not be under the roof, but sometimes also in the winter - so not OMAs (99.999% white PVC!), But for example OPD (ie supposedly H07RN-F after the new one). If it is supposed to be permanent, it should be YKY underground and a "post with a socket". The OPD can withstand more and longer than OMAs outdoors, but it is still not a "permanent" solution, so after use it has to be rolled up and hidden.

A separate matter is the end of the cable and the charger in the rain (the cables are pinched by the door and / or the flap) - the car may also burn in the rain.

A further issue (not directly related to the question) is disconnecting / not disconnecting one battery terminal during charging and the resulting consequences depending on the age of the car.

    --------------
Asian gxxna (also with Polish and Western subtitles) is unfortunately a growing plague, also in ready-made cables and extension cords.

Instead of spending money on an extension cord, get your car tidy. It will be simple, comfortable and safe.

Thanks for the hints :) And I will correct it - I want to put the rectifier in the car, so the extension cord is supposed to "extend" the socket. And as for the car - it is in order, I only drive it occasionally, the battery, despite the fact that the new one is able to discharge - the alarm, etc. finally consumes electricity

    Hello
My company floods plugs and installs extension cords, so feel free to contact me.
I have a kumaty technologist, so I can also describe to him what exactly the extension cord should be used for and we will certainly advise something

    Regards

A colleague has a problem with an extension cord for occasional use that someone will write about it here. What I have to do when a client at the construction site supplies voltage with an extension cord about 150m (several tied together) from a neighbor and all builders go with power tools on it. You don't want to know how much ch .. flew when I had to weld a rope of it.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around selecting an appropriate 50m extension cord for charging a car battery without removing it. Key recommendations include using a cable with a cross-section of at least 2.5 mm² for better mechanical resistance and safety. Users emphasize the importance of using a ready-made extension cord with built-in safety features like RCD (Residual Current Device) to prevent electrical hazards. Concerns about the quality of cables, especially those manufactured in China, are raised, with suggestions to opt for reputable brands. The conversation also touches on the necessity of fully uncoiling the extension cord during use and ensuring that the charging setup is safe from moisture and physical damage. The need for a rectifier in the car for effective charging is also mentioned.
