Hello. I have a little problem. In my kitchen I have a pot sink set into the countertop and sealed with silicone. Unfortunately, my sink broke and I have to replace it. The manufacturer sent me a new sink as part of the warranty, but unfortunately the old one does not want to come out, because the silicone holds very tightly. Do any of you have an idea how to remove the old sink without damaging the countertop. The table top is made of MDF. I will be grateful if someone will tell me how to solve my problem.

If the old one is cracked, it can defragment it and remove it piece by piece?

You got a little bit confused :D How do you imagine detaching the sink with chemicals?
You cut with a knife and it will go away without any problems. The right knife.

I had to unstick the sink from the MDF lacquered countertop, but I did not find the perfect solution, 3 knives broke, I did not have a metal line and finally I took a long plaster spatula and stuck it with a rubber brush into the silicone. The spatula was beautifully "like butter", the sink came off quickly and effortlessly. The board has not been damaged. I recommend lubricating the length of the silicone with dishwashing liquid for a glide.

    Hope someone benefits :)

    greetings
