    Hello.

I have a problem with the oven.

Well, I'm baking a cake... actually, I wanted to bake. I already had the mass ready, the dough in the form, the oven almost warmed up (convection on). As soon as the heating indicator light went out, the whole oven went out. Literally. Just like in the picture

Amica Oven Issue: Controls Operable, but No Heat or Internal Light Despite Indicator On

The problem is that the controls still work. Stove works fine - gas and spark are on so 4 burners are working as before. Just the clock. The problem with the cooker is that when I turn the knob to change the type of heating (light bulb / bottom heating / top heating, etc.), the controls light up, but neither the bulb inside lights up nor the heater heats up (I left it on for an hour, no nothing got hot).

If that wasn't enough - after this failure, when I turned the knob a few times, it sometimes happened to surprise (in the sense, the light bulb turned on and the fan of the fan was moving), but only a few times. Now nothing - a corpse.

Could someone help? Is it a thermostat? But then it wouldn't be surprising, and the lamp would be on, but it wouldn't heat. I thought maybe it was the contacts in the knob, but then even the controls wouldn't respond.

    Please help...

Hello, however, I would bet on the switch from the heaters. The lights may be on because they are on separate contacts.

    Have you checked the thermal?

I haven't taken it apart yet because I didn't know where to start. Where to look for thermal protection?

It should be at the back of the kitchen, usually a small cube of about 1.5 x 1.5 cm with two wires.

How to check this protection? Is it some kind of fuse or a thermistor?

A type of fuse that opens when overheated.

Topic summary

The user reports an issue with their Amica oven where the controls are functional, but there is no heat or internal light despite the heating indicator being on. The gas burners are operational, but the oven does not heat up or illuminate the internal bulb. Suggestions from other users include checking the heater switch and thermal protection, which is typically located at the back of the oven. The thermal protection is described as a fuse that opens when overheated, and the user seeks guidance on how to locate and test this component.
