I have about 300 digital photos dated 1980 although they were taken recently.
How can I change the creation date of these files?
    I have Windows 7.

Do you mean the actual date of creation of the files or changing the date in exif, i.e. the date of snapping the photo? Because you can change the creation date of the files .... by copying them to another directory (and if it is to be a specific date, then Total Commander [file -> change attributes]). If it's the latter, I recommend googling something like "batch exif edit"

Exif for example. It is true that I haven't used it for a long time, but once I needed it (wrong date set in the camera, several hundred photos) and it elegantly managed. It also seems to have an option to change the file date to Exif, and vice versa.

    Regards.

IrfanView with a plugin pack installed has the ability to change the date and time in EXIF.

I just tested it on my W7 - no software needed.
    1. You change the system date (on your computer)
    2. Select all the photos you are interested in (e.g. by CTRL+a)
    3. Right click on any of the selected photos and press "Properties"
    4. "Details" tab and change the position in "Date of execution" or author - whatever is important to add or subtract something.
    5. Press Ok. and at this point the modification date changes to the date of the system (computer).
    6. Then we copy (not move) the photo and paste it into another directory - at this point we have the date of creation.
    7. Previous photos can be deleted

    TADAM.... :)

Don't forget to correct your computer's date afterwards because there may be problems with website certificates

After thinking about it, it would be better if after step 2, do step 6 again, select the copied photos and then perform all subsequent steps - then the modification date will be a moment later than the creation date. But it doesn't really matter because (later) any possible copying of the file will take the date from the system at the time of copying.
