    Hi,
I was looking for an answer but I did not find it, so I am writing a question / request:

    I would need a Powerbank, which allows the device to be charged while it is being charged - in my case, a 3G modem / router;
I have several powerbanks, but each time it is connected to charging, it stops supplying voltage to the USB - the one in which I have a modem plugged in.

are there any power banks that can be charged and at the same time charge the device connected to them?

    Thank you for your answer

I suggest using just a charger and not combining it, since you are at the socket anyway, it is not a problem.

The Xiaomi powerbank (certainly the 10000mAh model) meets the above condition.

the powerbank does "buffer / ups" in the car ... the point is that the router I have has no battery and every time I start the car I have to turn it on manually

    thank you, specific review ;-)

but it contains the info I am looking for, i.e. that this powerbank does not support the "passtrough" functionality - thanks to your link I know at least what to look for ;-)

although here is a review of a similar Xiaomi Powerbank that supports this passtrough - you can see from the layout of the USB connectors that it is a different model than the one from your link

this Indian has come up with a good idea of how to make one passtrough out of 2 cheap powerbanks

such powerbanks cost about PLN 6-7 on the Allegro ... :-D

I have just checked the Xiaomi 10000mAh powerbank and the author of the review is writing the truth. When charging the powerbank, the voltage and current efficiency at the output drops - you can charge the device, but at the level of 300mA. When writing the post, I was only guided by the charging icon on the phone, so sorry for misleading you.

The 10000mAh and 10400mAh models are 2 different devices. The latter is an older version (no longer produced), it is hard to find in stores.

Thanks for the info. These pseudo tests with YT are not known in total what current is given at the output during charging because they do not connect even such a cheap USB meter. It probably goes like you gave the minimum current that gives the charging message on the cell, but you can't get too much of it. I have to try this patent with 2 cheap powerbanks - minimum cost at least

Old problem, but still valid :/ I would like something like this in the car; something that would allow a few days to power the GPS/GSM/WiFi hotspot, parking camera (leasing and warranty exclude the second battery). The option of charging from the cigarette lighter is a natural protection of the starter battery (cigarette lighter only when the ignition is on).
For now, all I know is that you should search for "pass through" (I don't know if any term has been adopted in Polish). The Internet warns not to buy a bush from companies, that it should have protection: thermal, discharge, overload, overvoltage.
Alternatively, there is such a power supply/power bank: Black Vue Power Magic, but whether and how to use it for something other than powering the webcam (small capacity, rather power efficiency) is difficult to find information.
The trouble with searching is that if you add "car", it finds power banks, and if you add "simultaneously", you will find out that three phones can be charged at the same time :/ The information mainly focuses on super fast charging, inductive etc.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around the need for a power bank that supports simultaneous charging and usage, specifically for a 3G modem/router. Users express frustration with existing power banks that stop supplying power to connected devices while charging. Recommendations include the Xiaomi 10000mAh power bank, although it was noted that it does not support "passthrough" functionality, which allows for simultaneous charging and device operation. Users also explore alternative solutions, such as using two inexpensive power banks to achieve the desired functionality. The importance of searching for power banks with "pass through" capabilities is emphasized, along with considerations for safety features like thermal and overload protection.
