Excel - I have column A - (it's called plan) from 01 to 30; a different number is entered in each cell.
In column B (execution of the plan) I enter in each cell the actual numbers of the execution of this plan.
How to make a rule for the entire column B (not for one cell) if B>= A the fields were green, and if B

I tried - with a single cell no problem - with the whole column nothing comes out.
The numbers in column A are different.

How does it not come out like it does? Submit a file.

The problem is that you need to create the rule correctly -
check the boxes of all the cells to which the formula applies
    click"
    1-conditional formatting.
    2-manage rules
    3-new rule
    4-format only containing cells
5-extinguish from the cell value menu - for example: when the fields are empty, they should be silver - select equal (symbol ="") ok and click edit formula.
    6-click format
7-click fill -effects - the first color is white, the second color is silver - ok, ok and apply -
remember to type the cell value correctly - in this case they should be =""
we do the same when the digit is greater than we assume, e.g. green color, or when the digit is smaller than we assume, eg red color - good luck!

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around using conditional formatting in Excel to change the color of cells in column B based on the values in column A. The user seeks to highlight cells in column B green when their values are greater than or equal to the corresponding values in column A. Initial attempts to apply the formatting to the entire column were unsuccessful, prompting further inquiries about the correct application of the conditional formatting rules. Participants provided step-by-step instructions on how to set up the rules, including selecting the entire column, managing rules, and entering the appropriate formulas for different conditions (e.g., empty cells, greater than, or less than). The consensus is that conditional formatting is the correct solution for this task.
