    Hello
I have a problem with leaking water that condenses over the kitchen hood (Fig. 1). I have absolutely no idea how to prevent this. In place (1) I drilled a small hole to let the water drip outside, but in such frosts this hole freezes and water accumulates in the eaves. I am afraid that a short circuit may occur. Attached is a photo with a pipe routing diagram. Reducing Condensation Over Kitchen Hood: Explore Double Pipe System & Insulation Solutions

What do you recommend to reduce this effect? to make a double pipe system? one inside the other insulated with foam?

Maybe instead of the elbow tee down and drain there. If a piece of pipe goes down, it will work like a storage reservoir and even if it freezes, it will be ok because it will melt and the question of capacity will flow out.

I also think that this is a problem with temperature difference and maybe just insulate this chimney?

This is definitely a problem with a cold chimney, warm moist outside air cools below the dew point and condenses then freezes.
Either store in case of freezing and drain the condensate or insulate the chimney so that it condenses outside it.
