Hello, for some time I have a problem with the car, namely after visiting a pressure wash or driving into a larger puddle, the engine starts to run unevenly, a complete lack of power, the car runs like a muscule car - no controls (I mean check engine) do not light up. After connecting VCDS, no errors. The effect is as if one of the cylinders stopped working.
I replaced the ignition wires and the candles with new ones. With no effect.
Sometimes the car could also break during normal driving, it looks more or less as if I suddenly pulled my foot off the gas while accelerating and then added it again.
Although it seems to me that these are two separate faults because with the latter the engine does not start to shake and the sound is normal - it just seems to stop responding to gas.
Until today, I have underestimated the defect a bit, but for the weekend I went to the mountains and here it was an unpleasant surprise.
For 3/4 of the route, the car drove normally, the problem appeared when going up the hill (higher load), suddenly it started to jerk, walk loudly and again a total lack of power. The hill is over, the problem is gone, another hill is over and it came back again. Later it didn't matter whether uphill or not - no power and loud work.
After a 3-day stop, I got into the car and as if nothing was happening normally.

At first, suspicions fell on the ignition coil, but what does it have to load?

Today I reconnected with VCDS and had an occasional error:
16825 - EVAP Emission Control Sys.

, I deleted it and it doesn't show up anymore. I flew to the measuring blocks quickly and my only attention was to block 20 (Knock regulation Cyl 1 to 4) because on the second cylinder during acceleration I still have a much higher value than on the others (the value is expressed in KW). Also in block 26 (I don't know what is measured here) the voltage values are very different. I also noticed more fuel consumption recently and it is not an effect of lower temperature.
Are knock sensors installed on each cylinder separately and could this be the cause?

This engine has two knock sensors. You probably have lowered fuel pressure and would not go uphill when you were knocking. Replace the fuel filter, possibly the water in the tank.

Is it possible to check the fuel pressure with VCDS? And would too low pressure shut down one cylinder? Well, as I have already mentioned, the car starts to work loudly when a failure occurs, even at idle.

Today I accelerated to the maximum in each gear while driving, then at low speeds I put too high gears and the pedal to the maximum, the car accelerates and nothing happens.

The temperature measurement tip stops perfectly at 90 degrees after driving about 3-4 km (fluid level a little below min.), But in the measuring blocks the measurement stops at 75 degrees and no more, is this normal?

The fuel pressure cannot be measured with the tester. The car cannot be repaired while sitting in the armchair.

And here you are wrong :) I will repair many things while sitting in the armchair, and besides, nobody is talking about repairing here, but about the diagnosis, so as not to buy unnecessary parts, which I hope, based on my own experience, you will help me eliminate.
To say the least, I can't convince myself of this fuel pressure. I focus more on the coil, wouldn't its damage be signaled by computer errors?

the engine is not equipped with a fuel pressure sensor, maybe the filter is clogged with fuel or the pump sits down, so you have a feeling that you took the gas pedal away and then added it.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Seat Ibiza 1.4MPI experiencing a lack of power and uneven engine running after exposure to water or pressure washing. The user reports symptoms resembling a cylinder failure, despite no error codes appearing on VCDS. Initial troubleshooting included replacing ignition wires and spark plugs without improvement. Responses suggest potential issues with fuel pressure, possibly due to a clogged fuel filter or failing fuel pump, as the engine lacks a fuel pressure sensor. The user also questions the possibility of checking fuel pressure with VCDS and considers the ignition coil as a potential fault, noting that the engine runs loudly during failures and exhibits abnormal temperature readings.
