Can you still buy a SIM card without registration? A friend comes back from the UK for two weeks and probably will want to buy a starter for PLN 5 to have a PL number and I don't know if any operator still allows you to receive calls and sms because that's all.

If that's the case, let him register his card and have it for the future.

You can buy, but you need to register, is the moment devoted to registration a problem for a friend? :)

There is no Polish identity card, only English. But then he will register it on me and that's it.

There is no England (or more correctly Britain, because the Scots, Welsh and Irish are also citizens) such as an ID card. And they'll register it for a foreign passport.
I have a different bite because I have a Polish number but I have no way to register.

    a) can register on the passport
    b) buy on the auction site, which, contrary to appearances, is not illegal.

That's right, I'll ask at the Source :D - what is the waiting time for starting the communication from the moment of SIM card registration?

Depending on the operator and queues on the servers, but usually up to 10 minutes, connections work though Lyca in total works in a few seconds.

You provide the necessary data and register, even online. ;)
