Hello, the topic has already been raised but it is a bit different for me
the car had a collision, the old pump was working but there was a pump error, the support died after 3 days. I bought a pump with the same numbers, in this case 6R ...... 156B. I assumed, but still no support. The pump reaches the current, there are no errors on ODIS, the VCDS displays error 00816, (steering angle sensor). There was no error on the old pump. I do not know where to look, or suggest that the pump is working (I bought a used one, but it went to the end)?
I tried to adapt the vcds angle sensor but it doesn't give me access to basic settings after entering 40168 as the code.

Rewrite the coding from the old pump, there the angle sensor is either on a mangle or shared with ESP under the steering wheel, I bet you have the wrong type selected.
