    Hello

I wanted to connect my printer to Raspberry Pi 2 using a CUPS server. There are a lot of tutorials on the internet, how you can do it, I chose the configuration through the PuTTy program and here the error crashes right from the start and I can't go any further.

I uploaded the "RASPBIAN JESSIE LITE" SD card, connected the Raspberry to my router, the router displays the IP of my Raspberry, I entered this IP in PuTTy and immediately crashes like "Network error: Connection refused" and after playing.

    My router is: Netgear DG834G

What am I doing wrong? Connecting the monitor to HDMI, the system loads properly and you can log in using the login "pi" and password "raspberry", but for nothing I can get from an external computer to the raspberry.

I'm a little green in it because I've been Raspberry for half a year, but I've never had time to play with it. Everything I wrote above I do in the same network. I don't know how to check these packages etc. I would like to ask for some more info.

After entering the IP from Raspberry in CMD:

@Towr You must enable SSH connections on your Raspberry Pi. There is a nice tool on the raspberry for this:
    Code: Bash
Log in, to see the code

I know that for some things can be so simple and obvious that the question about them in the forums is a slight exaggeration. Uncle google, of course, I was looking for before I started this topic, but as it usually happens with me - if I'm looking for something, I can never find it, and if I don't need it, it is found ;)

Thank you again for your help and any links.
    I close the topic.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a user experiencing a "Connection refused" error while trying to connect to a Raspberry Pi 2 using PuTTy for printer configuration via a CUPS server. The user confirmed that both the Raspberry Pi and the external computer are on the same network and that the Raspberry Pi is properly set up with Raspbian Jessie Lite. A key solution provided was to enable SSH connections on the Raspberry Pi using the command `sudo raspi-config`, which resolved the connectivity issue. Additional resources for SSH and VNC setup were also suggested for further assistance.
