As from today (on Thursday 16/03/2017 it was still working) it was not possible to log into the old Skype 7.5.0.102, it was necessary to update. Unfortunately, the program does not install, probably due to the lack of SSE2 (Athlon XP machine, Windows XP SP3). I suppose this problem cannot be solved - the support for Skype versions below 7.17 has ended, and this version also does not install.

So what can you use instead of Skype? Let me remind you, the messenger must run on Windows XP and old CPU without SSE2. It can also work as a p2p messenger.

Mainly it is about voice calls with several friends, but not all at the same time - they all have Neostrada, so no fixed IP, although it is possible to configure port forwarding on the router.

Replacing the computer is not an option.

    What to use instead?

    Greetings.

GG (or its derivatives) is not enough for voice calls?

Alexander Graham Bell once came up with a cool device - it still works and doesn't require SSE2. :D

If you add WhatsApp to it, you are ready.

    Try TeamViewer or Radmin 3.5
