Hello forum users, I bought a carprog from China and no testimonies on the test with the adapter pops up
    UART0 - OK
    UART1 - OK
    PIN 1 - OK
    PIN 2 - OK
    PIN 3 - OK
    PIN 4 - OK
    PIN 8 - ERROR (short to + 5V)
    PIN 5 - OK
    PIN 7 - OK
    PIN 6 - OK
    POWER - OK
did anyone have such a problem and solved it? I bought a repair kit and exchanged all hc125 in carprog and unfortunately still crashes pin 8 error. Thank you for your reply and Regards.

Hello, check the adapter A 9 at home I exchanged the logic of hc125 with M at the end of course for a sandwich and it's ok.

I checked the a9 adapter and it is 100% functional, I bought the hc125m I replaced and unfortunately nothing has changed. :( maybe you would have to reprogram Prock

You checked the board for any missing elements or are being replaced

Upload photos of the adapter and mainboard cp, but 90% damaged processor.

I checked most of the elements around the fourth hc 125 because all the time shows its damage, I desoldered in turn the capacitors, diodes, thyristors, even the circuit itself, which is supposedly damaged, I changed the quartz, each time I did the test with the adapter a9 and then there is a short circuit to + 5V, I compared my cp disc with photos of other cp's, there is nothing missing, as for operation, it certainly doesn't read any memory, unless the clip is damaged but I checked on two of the set, works after can check on astra h 1.6 and on k-line on vektra b 1.8. Below are photos of the cp Carprog 8.21 Clone: Pin 8 Error Shorted to +5V, User Experience with Repair Kit & HC125 Replacement

This example is not entirely jert, like if you checked that the connection of the common ground with the stabilizer causes a decrease in voltage relative to the usb port and the inability to read souvenirs. Upload more pics A9

I checked the voltage on the stabilizer on the first from the additional power plug is on both legs 4.80v on the next one to which the capacitor on the right leg is soldered 4.80va on the left 3.30v, and the memory on the power supply all within 4.78v. I am slowly losing my patience, A9 undressed twice and checked all connections according to the scheme, as well as I measured resistance on each connection and everything is 100% fine. Maybe anyone has any idea what the problem is?

I bet on a broken processor.

hello again I solved the problem of pin 8, after desoldering the jumper next to relay number 000, the error disappeared and the test passed carprog reads 24 and 93, but I was tempted to replace the 2r2 resistor near this relay for 1kohm and since then I have error uart1, error or someone knows what it involves and can know how to fix it. best regards

If it was good then why were you up to it.

you are right I could not move but I had one more description what can be mentioned to improve this device :( I didn't think it would hurt. He still reads the memory, under the computer works on the wall, I did not check only k-line, I wonder what uart1 is responsible for in this device.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Carprog 8.21 clone experiencing a persistent PIN 8 error, indicating a short to +5V. Users have shared their troubleshooting experiences, including replacing HC125 components and checking various adapters and connections. Despite these efforts, the error persisted, leading to suggestions of potential processor damage. One user reported success in resolving the PIN 8 error by desoldering a jumper near relay number 000, although this led to a new UART1 error. The conversation highlights the complexity of diagnosing and repairing issues with the Carprog device, emphasizing the importance of thorough checks on components and connections.
