Gentlemen, I have no more power for the EPC - as the boomerang theme is still coming back to me. I start the car, the control does not go out. And either it shines all the time until I start the car again, or it disappears after some time after firing. Of course, when it shines, there is a strange power cut-off or lack of power at revolutions above 1500-2000 revolutions. I was several times in the Dealership, always the same effect: throttle error, throttle cleaning, cable check, adaptation. The problem disappears but for some time. Theoretically I could replace the throttle, but because the problem occurs from time to time, I would not spend such money if I'm not sure if it's a throttle problem, or maybe the problem is in another place and only the throttle error is registered by the computer and the reason lies somewhere else.

What can you do? I am asking for help because I do not know what to do anymore.

EPC - throttle error - that's all I know. I do not have a computer to connect and check, and I have told so many things in the Dealership.

What repair did the exchange offer to the ASO?

The ASO has not offered to replace the throttle, because cleaning solves the problem - so they are not sure if it will help. And the EPC periodically reappears after cleaning. I would like to find a specific cause for which the control appears and finally solve it. As I mentioned. Replacing the throttle does not convince me, since clearing it for some time solves the problem.

The question is whether the occurrence of throttling on the throttle can be influenced by taking oil through the engine? They have it and maybe it somehow influences it?

What mistake. The cable for reading this car costs a dozen or so zlotys on the allegro.

Buddy, and what about it like one of the few reasonable people who do not bury where they do not know each other.
It is best to drive to the Dealership and let them give the error number or to someone privately for the diagnosis and to provide the error number from the controller.

Okay, today there were more symptoms that I did not have before. First, when spinning weird rotations of turns - without any controls. Then as I drove even when the EPC was gone, it lacked power, light jerking until finally it went out and he did not want to fire. Ie. He fired but did not go into turn, only revulsion was extinguished. After some time, he started, but I did not try to drive only with the car. I left the Audi service. We'll see what and when they'll tell me.

Mistakes are nothing. Either someone is able to read the engine's operating parameters or is not a diagnostician

I got only the information today that the throttle is going into the exchange. It was exchanged about a year ago, so they do it as part of a part warranty. More I can find out how I will pick up the car, maybe next week.

I have an identical problem to this 2 errors which do not go to delete the same symptoms. After deleting the errors, even though the 2 were left, the epc indicator went out but in a day or two the problem appears again

In my case, after a few weeks of diagnosing, it turned out that I had the main wiring harness for replacement.

I will add that the test of this beam was positive - after all, they only check resistance.

And more or less what it looked like

In my case, it's hard to say, because I was on the Audi service, the car was there for 4.5 weeks on diagnoses. They replaced the throttle, which turned out to be a misdiagnosis because the error occasionally appeared. The cable test was also extra paid, and it turned out that they were fine. Finally, after a discussion with the head of the mechanics of the service, we came to the conclusion that it is cheaper to replace the cables than to look for a problem in the computer. I paid slightly less than PLN 2,500 for everything, but I do not know how much it is for cables, because all the costs were divided between me and the service (half of the costs they took).

    Good morning,
I have the Audi A3 1.6 FSI from 2004. I am short of patience and slow money. Namely, the car after heating the engine suffocates and EPC pops up. He likes to go out while driving, jerk, jump in turns and when I stop it goes out. I noticed that when turning left, for example at the roundabout, the car often likes to jerk and begin to spins at revolutions. From time to time, the check engine light will also light up. I was with several mechanics, the first one changed the timing, cleared the throttle, replaced the NOx sensor and some alloy sensor (?) I do not remember anymore. The second mechanic said that the crankshaft position sensor error pops up, but not to strain me, he decided to replace me with a gas pedal which is cheaper. After its replacement, it improved at only 15km and again the same. EPC ...
I have no idea what these errors were on the computer, I only know that it is related to the crankshaft position sensor. I'm just a woman and I do not know myself that much :D

    Hello
I know it's not about but I do not want to create a new topic
can someone tell me what kind of a symbol (as if the distributor's gun with a drop on the left over the fi sign) I thought it was a fuel tank but I filled up and is still there, and how can I delete the second level computer without disconnecting the battery (average fuel consumption number of kilometers traveled, total driving time)

The computer shows the fuel consumption, thus the symbol of the refueling gun :D

Good morning, I have a similar problem to the previous speakers. A constant EPC light popping up, going hand in hand with an engine error. The throttle has been replaced twice now and the problem keeps coming back. Here is when the errors.

Well, then you need to call the wire harness between the throttle and the controller, but not with a pen meter, but with a halogen bulb (H4 or H7), then you will have confirmed the continuity of the wires

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an Audi A3 8P 1.8 TFSI experiencing persistent EPC (Electronic Power Control) indicator issues, characterized by power loss and throttle errors. The user reports intermittent power cut-offs at higher RPMs (1500-2000) and has undergone multiple dealership visits for throttle cleaning and cable checks, which only provide temporary relief. The user is hesitant to replace the throttle due to the sporadic nature of the problem. Other participants suggest obtaining specific error codes for better diagnosis, with one user sharing a similar experience that led to the replacement of the main wiring harness after extensive diagnostics. The conversation highlights the importance of accurate error identification and the potential influence of engine oil on throttle performance.
