    Hello,
I would like to know if the samsung WF70F5E0W2W has a detachable drum?
I am looking for a washing machine as in the subject, I would not like to spend too much (it is known that even if I give PLN 1000 more does not mean that the washing machine will last longer).
I do not need any goodies only as far as trouble-free.

How is the durability of top-loading washing machines? It seems to me that by bearing the axles on both sides such a washing machine should have a greater durability. Is it worth buying one?

There are no mechanical programmers in the new washing machines, everything is electronic.

The LG washing machine works for me. It can be Samsung and even an Amica. These models have the option of replacing bearings. Some Bosch models also have a bearing replacement. Three LG washing machines have all been working without a problem for two years. An additional 3-year warranty was purchased on the washing machine.

This is a service guarantee, in the event of a fault, the service states whether the damaged component is covered by the guarantee. Such a service in order to remove additional cash from the customer when buying equipment.

I do not know where this fashion for replaceable bearings, who will replace bearings after a guarantee for PLN 300, where on the second day can literally break everything?
Manufacturers calculate durability very smartly, if something has no 5-year warranty, it will break down after two years.

The insurer after reporting the repair only asks the owner of the washing machine whether the washing machine has been repaired or not. And so much in this topic. The insurer asks you whether you are satisfied with the repair or not and score service from 1 to 10 points.

Customers who come to my store for home appliances have different experiences with additional guarantees, which is why we do not offer such pseudo guarantees in our store (private store).

The manufacturer's extended warranty is payable or not, the insurance is different. I read the insurance conditions is the repair or replacement of equipment for the purchase price.
You always have to read because if there is compensation about the value of equipment from the day of failure then we can only count on a few hundred zlotys.

This is not an extended manufacturer's warranty, but an additional service guarantee, and the service does whatever it wants. My brother once bought such a pseudo guarantee at the supermarket when buying a washing machine and after two years the drum housing cracked, the service stated that this is not covered by the warranty and the washing machine went to the purchase of scrap metal.

    Added after 17 [minutes]:

Another example: about two years ago a client came to my store for a new washing machine because she broke and the service does not want to repair it, despite the additional guarantees purchased.
Less than 3 years ago, the customer bought a Beko washing machine in the supermarket for about PLN 650, bought an additional guarantee for PLN 300 (persuaded by the seller). In the first two years, the washing machine was repaired 2 times, and everything was OK until the 2-year warranty ended. In the third year of use, the washing machine broke again, so the customer called the service again, because she bought an additional warranty. And here she was shocked, so on the other side of the phone a nice lady from the service said that the client has already exhausted the repair limit. Then I ask, what is it like not a scam with additional guarantees for which customers pay and not small money?

My experience with the free Beko 5 year extended warranty:
2.5 years crack in lock handle - replacement
    3 years self-tuning programs - knob replacement
    3.5 r engine - brush replacement
Once I had an extended warranty on a mastercook washing machine, there was no problem as well as the replaced Ariston boiler in the fourth year (leaky tank sunk in foam).

Manufacturer's warranty is one thing and insurance is something else.

FAQ

TL;DR: Control-module failures dominate: example costs ranged PLN 450–700, and “Bearings are the smallest problem today.” This FAQ helps bargain buyers choose a washer with a detachable drum, weigh top-load vs front-load, and judge warranties. [Elektroda, 2920901, post #16651979]

Why it matters: Picking a model with serviceable parts and a clear warranty can save hundreds on future repairs.

Quick Facts

Does the Samsung WF70F5E0W2W have a detachable drum or replaceable bearings?

The thread does not confirm this specific model. Users report some Samsung models allow bearing replacement. Before buying, confirm a split (bolted) tub and listed bearings/seal in parts. If only a complete tub appears in parts, replacement may require full-assembly swap. “Some Samsung” units support bearing service, but verify by model. [Elektroda, kierbedz4, post #16652303]

Are top‑loading washers more durable because the drum is supported on both sides?

Electronics often fail before mechanics. A veteran poster notes control modules now decide lifespan, not bearings. Prioritize models with reliable electronics and available modules over mechanical layout alone. “Bearings are the smallest problem today.” [Elektroda, 2920901, post #16651979]

Are new washers still using mechanical programmers?

No. A service professional states that modern machines ship with electronic programmers only. Expect boards and firmware, not cam timers. This affects diagnosis and repair cost planning. [Elektroda, qs300, post #16652014]

How much can a failed control module cost to replace?

Examples in the thread show unprogrammed boards starting near PLN 450 and programmed units around PLN 550–700. Budget accordingly when comparing “cheap” washers, since one board can exceed a third of a low-end machine’s price. [Elektroda, 2920901, post #16651979]

Which brands were reported to allow bearing replacement?

One user reports LG, Samsung, and Amica offer bearing replacement on various models, with some Bosch machines also supporting it. Always verify the exact model’s tub design and parts list before purchase. [Elektroda, kierbedz4, post #16652303]

How do I check if a washer has replaceable bearings before I buy?

Use this 3‑step check: 1. Ask for the service parts list; look for separate bearings and seal. 2. Confirm a split, bolted tub in exploded diagrams. 3. Verify brand practices for your model line (LG/Samsung/Amica often serviceable; some Bosch, too). [Elektroda, kierbedz4, post #16652303]

What’s the difference between an extended manufacturer warranty and insurance?

A poster clarifies they are different products. Insurance may pay repair or replacement at current value, while a manufacturer’s extended warranty follows brand terms. Always read payout basis and exclusions before paying. [Elektroda, Sebastian_M26, post #16654176]

Are store “additional service guarantees” reliable?

Experiences vary. One buyer’s service denied a cracked drum housing claim. Another case hit a repair limit in year three after multiple fixes. Read limits, covered parts, and caps before purchase. [Elektroda, qs300, post #16654197]

Any real‑world reliability notes on LG, Samsung, Amica, or Bosch?

One user reports three LG machines running trouble‑free for two years, and they purchased an extra 3‑year warranty. Bearing replacement was also noted as possible for LG, Samsung, Amica, and some Bosch. [Elektroda, kierbedz4, post #16652303]

What parts have been replaced under a 5‑year manufacturer warranty?

In one case, a lock handle, program knob, and motor brushes were replaced between years two and four. Another brand’s leaky tank was swapped in year four under similar terms. [Elektroda, Sebastian_M26, post #16654575]

Who follows up after an insured repair?

An insured owner reported the insurer called only to confirm whether the machine was repaired and to rate service satisfaction from 1 to 10. [Elektroda, kierbedz4, post #16652971]

What does “programmer” mean in these posts?

“Programmer” refers to the electronic control module/board that runs wash cycles. Posters emphasize that new machines rely on electronic programmers rather than mechanical timers. [Elektroda, qs300, post #16652014]

What’s an example of total cost of ownership with a budget washer?

One buyer paid about PLN 650 for a Beko plus PLN 300 for an extra guarantee. Multiple repairs followed, then a repair-limit denial in year three. Plan for such scenarios when pricing value. [Elektroda, qs300, post #16654197]

Edge case: can a cracked drum housing be denied under an extra guarantee?

Yes. A reported case saw the service declare a cracked drum housing not covered, sending the machine to scrap despite the add‑on guarantee. [Elektroda, qs300, post #16654197]
