    Hello,
the washing machine works: it releases water, lets it out, etc. But when it starts spinning, you hear a sound (something like a rustling sack / sizzle etc). Sound only when the engine is running. How I turn the hand is silence.
After some time F06 error pops up. Sometimes right away or sometimes after a few minutes.
    Are brushes?

    Hello .
First, check the motor brushes (whether not short or suspended in the brush of the holder). Then, check the operation of the tachogenerator (part mounted at the end of the motor with two wires) to the multimeter transition set to ?. After connecting the meter set (V) wires from the beam disconnected, turn the motor and check if any voltage appears. Also to check the connection of the motor block with the wiring harness.

    gentlemen,
and how to check whether the reason is brushes or not and whether this noise I am describing is typical for any faults?

Take out the brushes then you will see if they are short or have been hung in the brush holder. The sound may suggest bad brushes, poor contact with the commutator.

    Hello,
Today I opened the cover and the OK bar, and I did not pull out the engine. Cables and sockets OK. I tapped the engine and around the brushes. The washing machine started and the basic program went by, but the rustling / sizzle remained. The neighbor says that 100% of the brush. Today I ordered, and after the weekend we will exchange. Do you share the opinion of your neighbor?

Yes it will be the fault of the brushes. First check if they are not suspended in the brush of the holder (frequent defect), just clean and everything can work properly. If short, the exchange indicated is known.

Gentlemen, forgive me if you have a stupid question but I prefer to be sure. What does the brush mean: right or left (right or left). For my washing machine, giving the full model and code 12 NC, it appears that they fit right and left. Does it matter?
Is this information included eg on the nameplate of the motor itself?

The matter has been clarified. Brushes, or rather their lack was the cause. When buying except the model, please check this number 12 of the CN.
Thank you for your help and best regards.

Topic summary

The Whirlpool AWO/D 4520/P washing machine is experiencing an F06 error and unusual sounds during the spin cycle, described as a rustling or sizzling noise. Users suggest checking the motor brushes for wear or improper contact, as these are common causes of such issues. The tachogenerator should also be tested for proper voltage output. After inspecting the motor and confirming the wiring is intact, one user ordered new brushes, believing they were the source of the problem. It was confirmed that the absence or malfunction of the brushes was indeed the cause of the noise and error. Users emphasized the importance of checking the model and 12 NC number when purchasing replacement parts.
