Anycubic i3 Mega - "cheap" 3D printer from China, modifications - is i

    Hello,

For a long time I have been thinking about buying a 3D printer for hobby purposes, making a gift, making some spare or housing for Arduino projects.

The purchase topic has returned and I have a budgeted named printer

    ANYCUBIC i3 MEGA

Available from our distant slanted friends, available on the well-known portal Ali ...

On YT there are reviews, the printer is positively evaluated, for the amount of PLN 1200 after the discounts, with DHL shipping from Germany, I think that a good purchase to start with.

link to one of the reviews:

It is built on the Prusa i3 model, has a metal frame, advanced features like resuming printing after power failure, the assembly consists of twisting 8 screws 2 elements and 3 plugs to connect.
Includes tools, filament, heated table, spare extruder, reader + sd card.

What do you think about choosing this printer?

I still have a question about the design of the printer itself,
a lot of guides on 3D printing mention the temperature during printing, to keep it at a uniform level due to the possibility of shrinkage of materials from which we print (more or less susceptible to the temperature difference). There are designs of printers with a closed housing,
despite many searches, I did not find any information on the location of the printer in the RACK19 cabinet.

I thought that when I put the printer in such a cabinet with a height of RACK19 15U, the printer will work freely in every plane, the temperature will be higher inside due to a more isolated environment = less susceptibility to shrinking material. In this case, you would have to move the power supply outside. The housing at the front has glazing on the side and has removable sides on the latches.
Would it make sense to put the printer in such a closet?

Certainly, it would be necessary to use the blast at the head to freeze the filament more quickly.

I will be grateful for the answers. greetings

At present for this price I would be inclined to buy some newer construction, eg Ender-3 or CR-20.

Ma, although it is only one of the elements affecting the quality of printing. If you care about printing specific materials, make sure that the manufacturer declares support for them. In addition, the heated chamber mainly affects materials with high shrinkage, eg ABS, although usually and without a chamber, models can be printed in decent quality, especially if they are not large.
