Seat Alhambra 2011: Adblue Refill Message Persists Despite Full Tank - Sensor Resistance Query

Hello. As in the subject, after adding full adblue, the message from the counter does not disappear. There are no errors, there is a value in the parameters regarding filling the tank. I have 80% - I just don't know if it is 80% full or empty. Has anyone checked the sensor resistance in the tank? Some measurement data, empty tank, full tank.

You can't drain or pull the adblue away? It would be known if the sensor itself works without disassembly.

The problem started with a refill message? There is a difference in the message check (system fault) and complete (top up). Has anyone previously deleted errors? I would bet that it was like that. E.g. the error from the NOx sensor can be cleared in the engine but the meter will be blocked. It also depends on the version of the engine controller software.

At the moment it looks like this. The car from Austria arrived on wheels, a message appeared on the way. It reached its destination, the next day it did not start. They cleared mistakes, fired me, landed at my place.

So as I thought. In this case you will need to do the message blanking procedure (in the engine controller). It is time consuming and a bit problematic, you will need a piece of highway. If the NOx sensor is damaged, it may not be successful. Sometimes it is faster to upload a new soft engine and then the message in the meter goes out by itself. But not every version puts out the control. What is the number driver and software version? I wrote a similar topic sharan control adblue.

I suggest that you try to regenerate, if it is successful, it means that the system components are functional, in particular the Nox probe as Jacek says. If everything is ok, the light should go out, if not, there will probably be an error.

The thing is, the tank was not empty. About 6 liters entered.
How does the driver calculate how much adblue he has left? From a non-stop level sensor or like in French cars?

Because here the problem was not and is not the level of the fluid but the error is probably a NOx sensor, which causes firing lock (from the occurrence of the fault is probably 1500 km to lock) and in the meter just such a message. 80% means full tank. The sensor in this model has 3 levels reserve, middle, full. If everything is fine and there is not enough fluid, this is a complete message, if there is a malfunction there is a check message. [/ U]

The problem was vcds. (Ori) Odis did the trick. Thank you for the hints.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a persistent AdBlue refill message in a 2011 Seat Alhambra, despite the tank being filled. The user inquires about the sensor resistance and how the system calculates the AdBlue level. Responses suggest that the issue may stem from a malfunctioning NOx sensor, which can trigger a lockout condition. It is noted that the sensor indicates three levels: reserve, middle, and full. The user also mentions that the tank was not empty when filled. Solutions proposed include checking the sensor functionality, performing a message blanking procedure in the engine controller, and using diagnostic tools like VCDS or ODIS to resolve the issue.
