    Hello,

    A month ago, I exchanged a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 display with a customer.
He came to me not long ago and says that he is getting discolored and that he wants to advertise it.
What do you think about it, is it possible that it happened or just fell off?

Was it replaced with a new original?

So try to send it to the complaint where you bought. There have already been problems of this type in several Samsung models. It is true that this happens in this model I have not heard but it looks more like a spontaneous problem with amoled than some mechanical damage.

Did you dial this phone in this state ?? Maybe it's funny or weird, but I once had a case that they brought me the same phone with a complaint. Stains and colors are the same, only in a different place. After getting started, it turned out that the client flooded the phone with nail polish remover.

I haven't done anything yet. Honestly, I do not want to take it because I'm afraid to stick this display and think what to say.
Oddly enough, the customer explained to me that before it had the same with this display, it gets a stain and then all black.
I have already mentioned AMOLEDOW a bit in my life and I have never had such a situation.

These new AMOLEDs (from the time of the S6) are a little differently constructed and when cracked, they do not cease to display completely and often gradually "spill". These types of defects often result from the curve or not completely cleaned frame. Just something constantly presses from the bottom of the display and it breaks after a while.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around a Samsung Galaxy A5 2017 display replacement that has reportedly developed discoloration. The original poster confirms that the replacement display was an original part. Responses suggest that the discoloration could be due to inherent issues with AMOLED displays, which may not be mechanical damage but rather a spontaneous defect. One user advises sending the device back for a warranty claim, noting similar problems have occurred in other Samsung models. Another response highlights that new AMOLED displays can exhibit gradual failure rather than complete loss of function, often due to improper installation or pressure on the display. The original poster expresses hesitation about reinstallation due to concerns over the display's condition and previous issues reported by the customer.
