They urged Samsung in one and the other store.
Sharp was interested in me once my favorite brand-but gentlemen, specialists unanimously-it's not just a bunch of bought patents. The image is weak and the quality is bad. With regard to Philips - only lights and Smart TV - beaming, not very intuitive and that there is no comparison to samsung. They did not tell me anything about LG.
    Samsung - they speak unanimously.
I think they have a better commission from Samsung :D DD

I agree - I am focused on Samsung.
    1. TV SAMSUNG UE55MU6102K mediamarkt-2699 is a curiosity that the 55 inch has an IPS matrix and the 50 inch has a VA.
    2. In UE55MU6172-2699 also IPS matrix and 45 inch has VA
    3. The more expensive media UE58MU6122KXXH matrix VA
    4.RTV EURO -Samsung UE55KU6470S PLN 2,477

I'm thinking about choosing a model now. Please, suggest.

FAQ

TL;DR: For a 4–5 m viewing distance, a 55–58-inch VA TV fits; “58 inches and VA are a good connection. Tizen on board.” [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #16981684]

Why it matters: This FAQ helps Poland-based buyers replace an older LG with a 55-inch-class 4K smart TV for Netflix and PS4 without overspending.

Quick Facts

What 55-inch TV did the thread ultimately favor around 2,500 PLN?

The poster chose Samsung UE55MU6172 for PLN 2,599, citing strong price-to-features and a VA panel on the unit they found. It includes HDR, Wi‑Fi, Bluetooth, voice control, DLNA, three HDMI, and two USB ports. “You have to hit” a VA panel, but the chosen piece had one. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16983091]

Is Samsung MU6102/MU6172 55-inch IPS or VA?

Panel type varies by batch and size. The user noted 55-inch MU6102/MU6172 units with IPS, while 50/45-inch variants had VA. This is a classic panel-lottery situation, so verify in-store before buying if contrast and blacks matter most. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16981174]

Is the 58-inch Samsung UE58MU6122 a better pick from 4–5 m?

One advisor recommended the 58-inch VA model as a good match for distance and contrast, with Tizen on board. Larger size boosts immersion without a big price jump in the MU6xxx range. “58 inches and VA are a good connection.” [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #16981684]

How did Samsung compare to LG, Philips, and Sharp in-store?

The shopper visited MediaMarkt and RTV EURO AGD. Staff in both stores pushed Samsung. Sharp was described as weak in picture and quality, Philips as flashy with less intuitive Smart TV, and LG received little comment. The buyer leaned Samsung. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16981135]

Where can I see the TCL 55P60 in person?

It was available to view in Media Expert (ME) stores, per the advisor’s reply. If you’re nearby, call your local ME to confirm floor availability before heading in. [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #16981272]

What features does the TCL 55P60 offer?

Suggested features included Android 7.0, voice support, virtual mouse, Kodi, MX Player, HDR, VP9 codec support, HBO GO, and a VA panel. It targets app flexibility and streaming versatility at this price. [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #16981204]

What operating system runs on Samsung MU6xxx TVs?

Samsung MU6xxx models run Tizen. Advocates called out Tizen specifically when recommending the 58-inch VA option in this thread. App support includes major streamers and responsive menus. [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #16981684]

Will these TVs handle Netflix 4K and a PS4?

Yes. The chosen Samsung UE55MU6172 includes HDR, three HDMI ports for consoles, Wi‑Fi, and smart features. The buyer’s goals were Netflix and possible PS4 use, which this configuration supports well. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16983091]

What screen size makes sense for a 4–5 m viewing distance?

The buyer sat 4–5 m away and targeted 55 inches, while advisors floated 58 inches. That range fits cinematic viewing across mixed TV, films, and sports. Consider 58 inches if you prefer a larger field of view. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16979820]

Any good deal tips from the thread?

One participant said, “There is no point in overpaying—choose it,” linking Samsung KU6470S as a value option. If MU6xxx pricing creeps up, checking prior-year KU models may stretch your budget. [Elektroda, Pedros050, post #16981210]

Are store recommendations unbiased?

The shopper observed both chains strongly urged Samsung and joked about commissions. Treat demos as a starting point and compare panels yourself with familiar content. Make your choice on picture, not pitch. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16981135]

What’s the risk of buying a 55-inch MU6xxx sight unseen?

Edge case: panel lottery. The thread shows 55-inch MU6xxx units with IPS in one store and VA in another. IPS brings wider angles; VA brings deeper blacks. Verify panel type on the specific unit. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16983091]

How do I quickly check for a VA vs IPS unit in-store?

  1. View a dark scene head‑on and then at 30–45°; VA should keep blacks darker.
  2. Ask staff to show model info and batch; compare with floor notes.
  3. Inspect another same-model unit to confirm consistency before purchase. “Hit” a VA if contrast matters. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16981174]

Did the thread mention concrete prices for shortlisting?

Yes. Media Expert listed MU6102 at PLN 2,499, MU6172 at PLN 2,599, and MU6452 at PLN 2,999 at the time. The buyer picked MU6172 for value. Prices vary by store and day. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16983091]

What about Philips 55PUS6262 and LG 55UJ620V from the floor check?

Both were seen in-store. Sales staff favored Samsung; Philips was called flashy with a less intuitive Smart TV, and LG received minimal feedback. If you like Ambilight, test Philips yourself for UI fit. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16981135]

What usage pattern did the buyer plan for the new TV?

About 4–5 hours daily, often evenings, with Netflix, nature and sports content, and occasional PS4 gaming. That mix benefits from a VA panel’s contrast and HDR support. [Elektroda, spiderRDZ, post #16979820]
