    If Samsung is 55NU71xx
Experience a good series for 2018 with Tizen 4.0.

Sony - here it will be hard for something in your budget. Maybe 55XE7005 which is a model from 2017.

LG with cheap, recommendable is only 50KU6500.

all of the above on good VA, 60Hz matrixes with high native contrast.

Sorry if it was but I can't find out: what's the difference between the NU71 and NU74 series?

I am asking because during the promotion from the link to Vobis a few posts above (PLN 500) the difference between them at the 55 '' screen is about PLN 300. Is it worth it

74 has a lighter matrix and probably a better housing ...
300 PLN is worth it - I would pay extra

Update. Vobis raised the price for this 55 '' NU74 so even with a discount of PLN 500 it ceased to be competitive in price.

FAQ

TL;DR: In this budget, paying 300 PLN more to step from Samsung NU71 to NU74 is “worth it.” We summarise the best 42–55-inch options for Netflix, console gaming, and smart features under 3,000 PLN. [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #17440176]

Why it matters: It helps Poland-based buyers quickly choose the right size and series without wasting time or money.

Quick Facts

What size should I pick at 3.5 m—50 or 55 inches?

Go 55-inch. One advisor wrote, “I would definitely take 55.” At 3.5 m, the extra size helps immersion for Netflix and games. If space fits, prioritise 55-inch within your budget ceiling. [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #17436039]

Which Samsung series fits best under 3,000 PLN?

For 2018 Samsung, pick the 55NU71xx, running Tizen 4.0. It fits the brief for smart apps and a tight budget. [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #17435658]

Is it worth paying extra for NU74 over NU71?

Yes. The advisor compared them and said, “300 PLN is worth it.” NU74 adds a lighter panel and a better chassis. If the gap is near 300 PLN, pay up; if much higher, stay with NU71. [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #17440176]

Which 55-inch models under 3,000 PLN were named in the thread?

Shortlist: Philips 55PUS7303 (2,999 PLN), TCL 55C7006 (2,550 PLN), Hitachi 55U78 (2,699 PLN), Thomson 55UC64 (2,299 PLN). That sets a 2,299–2,999 PLN range. [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #17436039]

Is TCL 55C7006 a strong value pick?

Yes. A participant called it “the best LCD in the class price for quality in Europe,” at 2,550 PLN. If you like Android-style ecosystems and sharp pricing, shortlist it. Verify current stock before purchase. [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #17441698]

What about Sony models near this price?

The recommendation was Sony 55XE7005, a 2017 model, with a note that Sony is tight in this budget. If you want Sony, hunt discounts or prior-year stock. [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #17435658]

Are these recommendations good for Netflix and console gaming at night?

Yes. The named sets use VA 60 Hz panels with high native contrast. That combination aligns well with evening streaming and console play. [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #17435658]

Where can I check prices for NU71xx or NU74xx?

The thread linked to price-engine listings for both series. Use those to compare stores and promo codes. Refresh often to catch drops. [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #17437489]

Should I choose the older Samsung ES6100 or a newer NU7402?

Advice here steered buyers toward the NU74 series rather than the older ES6100. Choosing a current series matches the thread’s recommendations and feature targets. [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #17438556]

Did anyone in the thread buy and report back?

Yes. The original poster bought a Samsung UE50NU7402 and reported being happy after a week. That’s direct owner feedback within this price class. [Elektroda, VoidT3rror, post #17456094]

What if a retailer raises the price during a promo?

Track prices closely. One user saw a 55-inch NU74 rise enough to kill the deal, even with a 500 PLN code. If that occurs, pivot to alternatives. [Elektroda, kidA73, post #17441257]

Do I need Dolby Vision at this price?

A poster suggested a Toshiba model with Dolby Vision as an option. Consider it if DV content matters to you, but weigh overall value first. [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #17438562]

What panel type does the thread favor, and why?

It favors VA panels with 60 Hz refresh and high native contrast. As one note put it, “All of the above on good VA, 60Hz matrixes with high native contrast.” [Elektroda, Ludwik XVI, post #17435658]

How do I shortlist quickly from this thread’s picks?

Do this:
  1. Choose 55-inch if your room allows; “I would definitely take 55.”
  2. Compare the listed 55-inch models and their prices.
  3. Track availability and act when prices sit between 2,299–2,999 PLN. [Elektroda, Anonymous, post #17436039]
