[Solved] MAN TGX 18.480: TCU Transmission Error 03149-00, Cold Temperature Issues, ZF AS-Tronic+Retarder

The patient is Man TGX D2676 LF07, ZF AS-Tronic + Retarder case.

So, after a long stoppage and firing the vehicle at low temperatures, TCU 03117-00 is displayed and there is no possibility to engage the gear, neither D nor R. When it gets air and goes out and lights up again, everything returns to normal and the error is lost and you can go. Today, while driving, TCU error 03149-00 lit up and the machine switched to manual mode. Again, after stopping, turning off and lighting everything went back to normal and the car made another 200km and silence, everything is fine. I would add that we have temperatures around -15, earlier as it was on + there was no problem.

TCU 03117-00 - (Stop signal is on, speeds do not turn on, engine runs.) - Clutch self-alignment is damaged, most likely the carbide bearing is damaged, worse if CCG fails, but the most common cause of the fault is the clutch release bearing.

Could you expand the CCG abbreviation? What is it and will it be expensive if there is a problem?

I will add that 03117 appeared twice a month. Today, after 18h and -17 degrees zero problem, fired and driving, zero errors.

CCG is the gear designation - generally the gearbox.

So, as I can see, I set up the topic on March 1, and it didn't take long Just as colleague Foxtrott explained the error, so it happened. Fortunately, the vehicle was still close to the base.

The computer warned about damage to the bearing and so it was, even though after a few errors the box worked without a problem, it did not mean that it was after the problem. The bearing broke down completely. A whole new set came, clutch kit, paw, sealant

So if someone TCU error 03117-00 lights up, don't let them just be interested in the clutch
