GoPro Hero 4 Black as Webcam for Twitch/YouTube Streaming: Required Equipment & Alternatives

I would like to connect the gopro 4 to my laptop as a webcam.

Mostly it will be used to steam set on twitch or yt.

What equipment will you need to capture the camera image?

Is it better to buy a steam camera?

It depends, if you already have GoPro it's clear you can use it as a webcam. However, if you are planning to buy it mainly for streams, then I think it is a waste of funds.

Fast, the price of GoPro is around 700-1000 PLN +, while for example Logitech C922 Pro Stream you can buy for 300-400 PLN. Check out some Logitech recordings on youtube and rate if such quality satisfies you.

Of course, if you prefer GoPro anyway, because you may also need to do other things, just enter "GoPro hero4 as webcam" on youtube. From what I see, all you need is a camera, cabling and the appropriate program, e.g. OBS. However, I don't know if you need an image recorder, e.g. avermedia.
