    Hi,
We have two types of systems that may be on the exam, with leaks heard:
    a) server
    - Windows Server 2008
    - Ubuntu Server
    b) client
    - Windows 7
    - Ubuntu 16.04
You should know all systems at least at a basic level (I recommend materials at pasja-informatyki.pl)
I have an exam tomorrow, so I will write back what was exactly ;)
    Regards.

Ok, here I am - fresh out of my exam ;)

    What was the exam like?

Almost the same as the example provided in the brochure:
    https://cke.gov.pl/images/_EGZAMIN_ZAWODOWY/informatory/formula_2017/351203.pdf

I will try to describe something a bit:
    1. Make UTP cable in sequence A to patchpanel and keystone.
    2. Configure the router (LAN, WAN, DHCP) and take screenshots on USB.
    3. Configure the switch and take screenshots on USB.
    4. Ubuntu - find information about the graphics card, processor and disk and make screenshots on USB, additionally enter it into the created table. Additionally, create a hidden folder, change the default opening of photos to a browser, specify the system kernel version, rename the network connection and the computer.
5 Windows - Promote to a domain controller, create a user, add him to a group, change the desktop background to black (that was the hardest part ;) . Disable the second network interface, rename the active network connection.
    6. Connect the Client to the server by means of a switch and router according to the diagram.
    7. Make a cost estimate based on the given computer components.

To sum up - there was a lot more paperwork (screenshots, tables, etc.) than the configuration itself. Although I already have some experience in IT, I almost did everything. The exam looks more like the E13 than the E12. As you can see Windows Server has been neglected regarding ADk, which is a plus for me ;)

I hardly used books at all, so it's hard for me to say anything except that:
    - books from the old core curriculum (E12 and E13) are a bit outdated (2012); you can easily find pdf files on the internet;
    - books from the new base for EE.08 come in four parts, and each of them costs over PLN 30, so a lot. I wasn't in my hands, so it's hard to say more.

If you don't know what to learn in turn and you think you have gaps - then I would buy these books.
If you want to train only in specific topics - then I would use the materials on the Internet.
