    Good evening,
As in the subject - I would like to ask a respected group of colleagues for advice on which TV will be a better choice.
The assumption is: TV from the tuner CP, Netflix, Youtube. No games and other consoles. The most important - the ability to disable motion liquids for 24fps movies.
Thank you in advance for any advice :)

Samsung better because on a VA matrix.
Unless you need very large viewing angles then Sony, because it's IPS
Both 60 Hz. Both have the ability to turn off the liquefier and thus the step image at 24 fps.

Thank you for your answer. And do both TVs offer recording and reading content on a network drive / NAS /? I mean not only the content received and recorded by him, but also my own photos and videos (from camera, camcorder, etc.)

Unfortunately, I won't help here. I don't use network options on TVs.

I am still wondering if in the case of Sony it makes sense to buy the Android version or a slightly cheaper version with its own Smart TV system. Own version due to limited functionality consumes less hardware resources, which supposedly translates into image quality. But is this really the case ...

Where does such data come from? where did you read it
In my experience, the type of smart tv used has no effect on image quality ...

I could, of course, give the name of the author of this statement, but this is not the point here, so I limited myself to a safe phrase "supposedly" :)
Anyway, I understand that the type of embedded software does not affect the quality of image processing?

The picture may not affect, but it affects the speed of the TV.
I can't find the information anywhere how long it takes from turning it on to the outlet until the picture appears on Android TVs.
On TVs without an android it takes about 7-14 seconds.

Topic summary

The discussion centers on comparing the Sony KD-49XF7596 and Samsung UE-49NU8042 televisions, focusing on their tuner capabilities, streaming services like Netflix and YouTube, and compatibility with 24fps content. Participants note that the Samsung model, utilizing a VA panel, offers better image quality, while the Sony, with an IPS panel, provides wider viewing angles. Both models support disabling motion smoothing for 24fps movies. There are inquiries about network features, such as recording and accessing content from NAS devices, but responses indicate limited knowledge on this aspect. The conversation also touches on the impact of the TV's operating system on performance, with a consensus that the type of smart TV does not significantly affect image quality, although it may influence startup speed. A suggestion is made to consider the Philips 49PUS8303 as an alternative in the same price range.
