Sorry for the title but I didn't know how to describe it, gentlemen, I have a huge problem. Since February, various people from Poland and other countries have been calling me, claiming that I am calling them and they are only calling back. I reported it to the operator, filed 8 reports / complaints, they said something was wrong with my phone. I changed the phone, it's still the same, now I get calls from all over the world, today I talked to a Czech who called me back, the Vatican called on Saturday, :) but not picked up, besides Hungary, Austria, Lithuania, Ireland, France, Meryland USA. What's more, I got a text message with the booking confirmation and I have booked an apartment in Portugal, I even got a discount code for Uber and information on how to get there and a phone number. I have Dear written ... and someone's personal information, not mine. The operator says that everything is fine with him, do you have any idea apart from changing the phone number, what is it? I do not know these people, I have never called them and they call me back ... They are right. I also got a text message sent by the operator that the number with which I tried to contact had already finished the conversation, I read the text message with surprise because I didn't call anywhere, then you called me back asking what was going on ... People on the hotline are surprised and can't help me . Maybe you have some thoughts? Tips? The strange thing is that no one will have time to answer this phone, it's probably just arrows, although I don't know.

Check if you have linked your number with Facebook,
if your number can use any application on the phone
    remember if you installed anything.

Recently I got a message from an old friend whether I know a company like that,
I wrote back that no, and here the machine replied with an advertisement describing this company and encouraged to use it.

Log out of all social media and insert the sim card into a regular phone that does not even have a net. Check if this continues.

I join the topic. Moreover, some say that I have spoken to them. They send you a screenshot that there was a phone call attempt from my number. The operator claims it is actually I did not call and there were no attempts to call the numbers who call me back.

One of the clients claimed that I swindled him on bitcoins and had an "eastern" accent.

Well, I have the same ...
And I wonder if someone calling may be impersonating my phone number?

I have the same, I do not know what to do with it, and I have been running a telephone service for years. I checked the call billing and these calls are not showing up there. Fortunately, it has been quiet for a week now

    Hello hello

:-) impersonate, no, but if you only logged out of iCloud (and returned the phone), the FaceTime and iMessage settings (automatic settings) with the assigned sim number or email address remain. As a result, a copy of the correspondence will be sent to the registered handset. The bug has been updated quite a long time ago. The last problem on this topic I remember in "era" 6 and 6s.
At that time, after logging out of iCloud, critical data related to iCloud, such as lock, FMI, mail (assigned to iCloud, others remained), Wallet, photos, notes, text messages, etc. were deleted.
FaceTime and iMessage registration stayed and worked!

What software version do you guys have on your phones? (in these suspects)

For future reference: after logging out of iCloud, please do a reset: settings - >> general - >> reset: Erase content and settings.
In its current version, the reset automatically disables the iCloud account and FMI.

I have had the opposite for some time. Today, for example, someone called me after 11:00 and after 4:00 PM from two different numbers, but I couldn't answer. When I called back later, someone on the other side said they didn't call me. In the latter case, I gave the woman 9 digits of the number displayed on the phone and asked if it was her number. She said no. So it results from the fact that someone is calling me from some number or numbers (I don't know which ones) and I get a different number than the one from which I was called ?! I don't understand any of this ?!
I do not have an active FB on my phone, and even if I had it, I did not give my phone number there. I also have Whats Uppa but I didn't give my number there either. In addition, I installed Whats Upp about 2 weeks ago and these strange phones have been around for about half a year, probably already. What this is about? What is someone up to ?!

    Hello.

It seems to me that it is a control machine - it calls the numbers xx-xx-xx to yy-yy-yy and notes whether someone answers or not. If so, it submits to the database. If not, it moves to the end of the line. Usually, such a machine calls on Internet lines from the other side of the world and sticks a Polish number in the Voice gateway (it pretends to be some known, previously received number). Such prepared and proven pool of numbers reaches thousands of $ on the black market of telemarketers, call-cents and traders of various types.

In the past, it was enough to block such a bastard and head. Today, it is already quite a complex algorithm and the lock itself may not be enough. I am blocked from receiving numbers outside the contact list. If someone needs it, he or she sends a text message or e-mail - these are easier to filter.

Someone might have stolen your data. From a computer encrypted as your phone number. In addition, log out of all portals, applications, etc. and most importantly change passwords everywhere, including e-mail, etc. so that it does not turn out that they will get loans.

Topic summary

Users report receiving numerous international calls from individuals claiming to have received calls from their numbers, despite the original users not making these calls. Complaints to telecom operators have yielded no resolution, with suggestions including checking for linked accounts on social media, logging out of all applications, and using a basic phone to test the issue. Some users suspect their numbers are being spoofed or impersonated by telemarketing machines, which may be using their numbers to make calls. Recommendations include changing passwords, logging out of all online accounts, and potentially changing phone numbers to mitigate the issue.
