Hello, I am in possession of an iPhone 5, which is contracted in T-mobile and since the phone went abroad began to send text messages to the number 80013. (sends them only abroad)
T-mobile support blocked all premium numbers but it didn't help.
I will add that SMSes have never been sent to any applications or ads (18+ etc.)
There is no trace of these messages in the phone.
Has anyone ever met this? I have already been to the Apple showroom but the local staff hear about such a thing for the first time.

I am sorry if this section or something is not well described, first post on the forum ;)

A SIM card inserted in another phone sends these messages or not?

Before, an HTC phone was used and there was no problem there was nothing in the billing.

I do not ask what was once, at the beginning you need to exclude a sim card.

The card was postponed to HTC, there was no problem, inserted back into the Iphone and then the same next SMSes in a few minutes

In this case, first restore the phone's factory settings to the beginning.

The phone was formatted yesterday and during formatting the phone sent 4 SMSes in 1 minute.
I have to turn off the phone because it can send a dozen or so SMS messages in a few seconds, and the costs are not small ;)

There are no miracles, the phone after factory settings and in particular the iPhone is no longer allowed to have any dialer. Another thing is to put a new starter in it and it should also send these text messages.

However, T-mobile decided to think and help me, I received such a message from them, but I do not quite understand it :D

"I would like to kindly inform you that the number 80013 relates to the synchronization of Voicemail with the iPhone. This is not a subscription active on your number."

I will add that the e-mail was turned off, I turned it on with the "Default redirection to Voicemail" service because I understand that it should be turned on? Am I wrong?

In that case, turn off mail forwarding and synchronization.

How do you turn off synchronization? Currently dad uses the phone for this, I do not know how to do it and if you could write it so that I can explain it, I will be grateful :)

I will not explain exactly where, but usually in the mail settings or account settings.

Topic summary

The discussion revolves around an iPhone 5 contracted with T-mobile that is inexplicably sending unwanted text messages to the number 80013 while abroad. The user reports that T-mobile support has blocked all premium numbers, yet the issue persists. Initial troubleshooting involved testing the SIM card in another phone (an HTC), which did not replicate the problem. Despite restoring the iPhone to factory settings, the messages continued to be sent. T-mobile later clarified that the number 80013 is related to voicemail synchronization, not an active subscription. The user was advised to disable mail forwarding and synchronization settings to resolve the issue.
